@Megha Cool! For what it's worth, I think it might also be worth mentioning in the first paragraph that you don't actually know if it'll work, and that it won't work for pure chocolate.

It's great to see such detailed instructions, I just worry about people seeing how clearly you've laid it all out, trying it, and discovering a problem.

as for not being sure it will work, I have wet-melted chocolate, so its only how much salt will actually get pulled for the effort (and how much sugar lost) I'm not really sure of.

Yeah, agreed - the biggest issue is how much salt you can get out and how much good stuff (sugar or even chocolate stuff) you'll wash away with it.

I'm not quite as scared of the seizing as rumtscho is.

I planned a wet-melt the second time around from the beginning, which doesn't seize, and then was confounded by rumtscho's response... it took a while to figure out whether the problem was my assumptions, my understanding, or my explanation.

I think she just figured that it'd seize the first time, and that was unrecoverable.
