@MartinSleziak I wonder if it is worth the effort to keep this room alive. In about four months you are basically the only person to post anything here, and that's been mostly to keep this room from being frozen. This is probably a strong indication that the community isn't really interested in participating in this effort.

@arjafi On the other hand, score +25 is strong indication that the community considers something like this room could (ideally) become useful.

I promise that when I have a bit more time, I will try to promote this room a bit more. Basically what I have to do is to let the users who might have interest in this room about this "project". I.e., users who offered bounties without getting answer. As I mentioned previously in the office.

I'm interested in the objects that describe the "local" structure of topological spaces. See here. Defining such things seems to be pretty straightforward, but actually doing anything with the definition is harder. I'd like to see where others have had more success.

BTW in the previous message you are linking to a comment rather to the question. Perhaps you still have time to edit the message. (I believe the grace period is about 5 minutes.)
@goblin I would definitely recommend to post the question also oneboxed (i.e., also a separate message contained only link to the question). Just to visually distinguish it from other messages in the room.

Q: Where can I learn more about "topological germs"?

goblin Definition 0. By a topological germ, I mean a pointed topological space. Whenever $X$ and $Y$ denote topological germs, by a morphism of topological germs $X \rightarrow Y$, I mean a neighbourhood $U$ of $\bullet_X$, together with a basepoint-preserving continuous mapping $f : U \rightarrow Y$...
