Today, Google created a doodle (a special logo commemorating a holiday or event) celebrating Bram Stoker’s 165th anniversary. As egreg brilliantly reminded us in the TeX chatroom, November 8th is also an important date for a very special person, it’s the birthday of Hermann Zapf! Hermann is 94 today.

On some other SE sites, code in between dollar signs gets rendered as mathematics (using MathJaX, I believe). This doesn't seem to work here? Why not? And how do I get round it?

Where can I find the documentation for \usepackage{float}? And in general how do I find package documentations? Usually, I google usepackage{<package>} and hope that the documentation will show up.
My girlfriend is teacher at primary school, she's new using LaTeX and she needs to make a "cute document" for kids, but I don't know how change the parts, sections, numer of page and all this things to make a cute document.
