11:00 PM
@Speravir oops. :)
@HarishKumar: I have no idea of what you guys are talking. :P

@PauloCereda The German text on the melody for “Happy Birthday" is …
Zum Geburtstag viel Glück,
zum Geburtstag viel Glück,
zum Geburtstag alles Gute,
zum Geburtstag viel Glück.

@Speravir ooh thanks! :)

@PauloCereda It is about Paul's comment on tex.stackexchange.com/a/81792/11232
@percusse Comment added. But how @Speravir inserted comments here?

@HarishKumar Ah I see. :)
@Speravir: Speaking of birthdays, youtube.com/watch?v=oiWP_DsDyqM :)

@Speravir How did you insert comments here in chat? I don't see any tool in my browser.

11:06 PM
@HarishKumar If you click in the date of the comment, you'll get a link. Then just paste it here, in a line of its own. :)

@HarishKumar Copy comment link (hidden under the time string) and copy this link in a message of its own. You can try out in the chat sandbox: chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/1/sandbox

@HarishKumar Write some stuff and then press Ctrl+K then send it

@PaulGaborit The thing is so complex and I have trouble understanding your comment/objection :-) Can you shed some more light on it? You may feel free to edit the answer itself, if you feel appropriate. I appreciate your effort. Thanks. — Harish Kumar 4 mins ago

Voilà! :)

Yay. It has come. Thanks guys, learnt a new thing now.

11:11 PM
@PauloCereda In the TeXtalk with Peter grill in the part “\begin{interruptinterview} … \end{interruptinterview}” the link to Vimeo is broken.

ugh is there no easy way to do a checklist in LaTeX?

@Speravir Thanks, fixed. :)

@Speravir @PauloCereda Hear hear!!!
I thought you would parse those commands!!!!
:D

@percusse <3

@PauloCereda During a presentation the speaker had a slide where a long text appeared letter by letter: very annoying. But the most annoying part was when she had to go back one slide and so, when advancing again, she inflicted the long text, letter by letter, another time. :(

11:15 PM
@HarishKumar: did you see the new arara manual cover? :) i.stack.imgur.com/ExE0K.png I just got Brent's email wrong. :)

@PauloCereda You have two middle names?

@tohecz They are emacs shortcuts

@egreg OMG, it would give me shivers. :) I hope the animation didn't have the "typewriter" sound. :)
@tohecz It's one middle name and two surnames. :)

@PauloCereda Of course it had!

@tohecz Paulo -r -m Cereda probably formats your hard drive in MS-DOS.

11:17 PM
@egreg Oh no!
@percusse LOL I'm gonna sign my name that way now. :P

@PauloCereda Sooooo complicated!

@tohecz I know. :)

@PauloCereda alias Paulo=``sudo` `

The whole set: Paulo (name) Roberto (middle name) Massa (mom's surname) Cereda (dad's surname). :)

@PauloCereda I know that Russians have a middle name by their father

11:21 PM
what package provides the \cxset command?

@tohecz In my region, I think it's common to have compound names.

@PauloCereda in my region, it's common to have just given name and surname ;)

@tohecz :)
Dom Pedro I (English: Peter I; 12 October 1798 – 24 September 1834), nicknamed "the Liberator", was the founder and first ruler of the Empire of Brazil. As King Dom Pedro IV, he reigned briefly over Portugal, where he also became known as "the Liberator" as well as "the Soldier King". Born in Lisbon, Pedro I was the fourth child of King Dom João VI of Portugal and Queen Carlota Joaquina, and thus a member of the House of Braganza. When their country was invaded by French troops in 1807, he and his family fled to Portugal's largest and wealthiest colony, Braz...
See his full name. :D

@PauloCereda Excellent cover. May I see the source of it if you don't mind pl? But why no color :-(

@Gnintendo Did you find it in one of Yiannis' answers?

11:24 PM
yeah
>.>

@HarishKumar I'll send it to you. :) Actually, the logo has a new colour, but we didn't decide which one will be. :)

@Gnintendo I should take a course from you on emoticons. All I see is traffic signs for a sharp turn :)

@PauloCereda And that's the toll booths from a distance if you are coming fast.... :P

11:27 PM
@percusse I will be with you in that course. I hardly understand these things :-)

@HarishKumar :) Out of curiosity, do you have a Trello account? (@percusse, you too)

@PauloCereda What is Trello?
And Nope.

@HarishKumar :) It's a free online project management platform. :) trello.com

@PauloCereda Is it good?

A proper stick out tongue emoticon

11:29 PM

@HarishKumar It is interesting. :)
We have arara set there.

Yiannis Lazarides doesn't have any CTAN packages, does he...?

Currently, we have Brent, Marco, Joseph and me added to the project.

@Gnintendo Nope it's work in progress

11:30 PM
@Gnintendo Speaking of Yiannis, I miss him. :(

But I'm dying to see it

@YiannisLazarides: Come back, we miss you!

@percusse Oh, he mentioned upping something to CTAN in a couple months....over a year ago

@Gnintendo Don't know anything about it.

@PauloCereda His profile page says "Seen 8 hours ago"

11:33 PM
@egreg Oh, maybe he's busy.

@PauloCereda Then I will try it today.

@HarishKumar Don't feel obliged. :) I just asked, so I could add you to the project team. :)

@PauloCereda That's very possible.

how do I set image height to current text height?

@PauloCereda Not at all. If it is good, I will use it (which is good for me too :-)

11:41 PM
@Gnintendo height=\textheight

@egreg The height of just one line

@PauloCereda E-mail replied :-)

like, so it fits right in with the text

@HarishKumar OK. :) When you register, just tell me your username so I can add you to the arara guys. :)

@PauloCereda Sure. I will mail you.

11:44 PM
@Gnintendo It depends; but [height=\fontcharht\font`A] should make it as high as an uppercase A.

Thanks

@Gnintendo Does it really work? :)

Yes
lol

@Speravir I added your comment in the answer. Hope you don't mind. :-)

11:46 PM
@Gnintendo Hey! It works! :)

@HarishKumar Nope.

@PauloCereda I signed up at trello. How do I connect to you now?

@PauloCereda I'm honored!
I can serve as a cookie/milk ratio optimizer

@HarishKumar Just tell me your trello username. :)
@percusse Yay! :)

@PauloCereda it says drharishkumarholla
I signed in with gmail account.

11:49 PM
@HarishKumar Sent. :)
You will receive a notification for joining the group. :)

@PauloCereda Received and accepted. Now I have to learn how to use trello :-)

@HarishKumar Link fixed. :-)

@Speravir Thanks :-)

@percusse, @HarishKumar: youtube.com/watch?v=aaDf1RqeLfo :)

gah I want to make a list in LaTeX with checked and unchecked items
:s
seems like there's nothing to do that

11:53 PM
