@cis lots of people have created latex packages (or cool automation systems) while avoiding writing a thesis

@JosephWright One could speed up the \seq_item:Nn code by ca. factor 7, though the code would grow a bit (in my POC implementation 80 lines, 17 macros vs 23 lines, 4 macros in the current l3seq implementation)
