I am wondering can someone please help with this question: tex.stackexchange.com/questions/624999/…

@Node.JS Many (most?) package make no sense with beamer -- you should really clean up your preamble
@PauloCereda ohh!

@PauloCereda cats are mean

@CarLaTeX "Beauty. Grace. That’s what matters. If cats looked like frogs we’d realize what nasty cruel little bastards they are." (Sir Terry Pratchett).

12:58 PM
@Rmano LOL :D

@PauloCereda -- "Primo die festali, amator mi misit ...". We celebrate that tomorrow. Gaude!

@barbarabeeton ooh cheers!

I really love voting dynamics: Two recent answers of mine, one got five upvotes and a tick with two tokens added to the code in the question; the other 86 lines of code plus the 38 lines of MWE, zero upvotes (but at least a tick).

@Skillmon Try Twitter.

...I start suspecting that there is an inverse proportional law between how much work you throw at an answer and how much upvotes it gets... ;-P

@Skillmon ^^^^^

6:19 PM
Just drop writing answers entirely
Seriously, I only write answers that I actually need, find useful, or something similar.
That is "don't do the whole work for the OP" kind

6:52 PM
@user202729 I had some free time and creating the mechanics for the filtering in tex.stackexchange.com/questions/624920/conditional-import/… was fun. Also, now that answer got an upvote... Stop upvoting just because I say "mimimi, I didn't get any votes" :)
@user202729 I actually write answers (way) less frequently than I used to...

@CarLaTeX oh, a mysterious author :)

@samcarter ... and I'm wondering why a woman can't use a male nickname :D

@CarLaTeX Well, your nickname here is Carl, isn't it? :)

7:26 PM
@Skillmon Of course, more than one user called me that way hahaha

7:40 PM
@CarLaTeX completely incomprehensible! :)

@CarLaTeX I did, when I was new around here...

@Skillmon Don't worry, you are not alone :D

@CarLaTeX it's the internet. The place where men are men, women are men, and kids are FBI agents.

@Skillmon LOL! By the way, I thought @UlrikeFischer was a man :D

@CarLaTeX Never had that issue, my best kindergarten-best-friend's mother is called Ulrike, and being from Germany it's just another normal name (though not exactly the most frequent one).
apropros @UlrikeFischer: What a terrible game X(

7:54 PM
@Skillmon I thought Ulrike was Ulrico (male in Italian), instead there is Ulrich and Ulrike

@Skillmon yes, how could he give away a pawn like this ...

@UlrikeFischer I'm lucky I visited friends who didn't follow the game, so fortunately I didn't see it, just listened to the radio on the way home, and then tried to ignore it as much as possible...

@Skillmon life commentary on a chess game?? ;-)

@Skillmon 6th round?

8:17 PM
@UlrikeFischer yes, something like that. It must have been chess. Chess has half-times and stuff, doesn't it?

@Skillmon Ok, I thought it was that one: zeit.de/sport/2021-12/…

@CarLaTeX Isn't the middle box with I=1 and F=1 a bit too tight? ;)

@UlrikeFischer @Skillmon I wanted Brian Blessed to do chess commentary just like he does snooker ones: youtube.com/watch?v=YP11L9jRW94 :)

@PauloCereda Is he Marvel or DC?

@mickep The original is correct: tug.org/tugboat/tb39-1/tb121duck-tikz.pdf

8:29 PM
@StefanKottwitz ooh

@CarLaTeX Oh indeed! :)

9:24 PM
@CarLaTeX I know an Ulrich, his wife's name if Ulrike and they go by the short forms Uli and Ulli :)

@samcarter And the second is a geminate? (long l)

@AlanMunn No idea if there is supposed to be a difference, but for me Uli and Ulli sound exactly the same.

@samcarter Time to start learning Italian or Finnish to get rid of that preconception. :)

@AlanMunn you want to torture me? :)

Can some one please help me with this:
\[
\lefteqn{\underbrace{\phantom{S \rightarrow A}}_{n_0}} S \rightarrow
\lefteqn{\overbrace{\phantom{A \rightarrow A A}}^{n_1}} A \rightarrow A A
\lefteqn{\underbrace{\phantom{A A \rightarrow \epsilon A}_{n_2}}} A A \rightarrow \epsilon
\lefteqn{\overbrace{\phantom{A \rightarrow \epsilon}^{n_3}}} A \rightarrow \epsilon
\]

9:35 PM
@Node.JS It is always better to provide a minimal working example than code fragments

I have been spending too much time trying to get this working, I am going crazy
\documentclass{article}

\begin{document}

\[
\lefteqn{\underbrace{\phantom{S \rightarrow A}}_{n_0}} S \rightarrow
\lefteqn{\overbrace{\phantom{A \rightarrow A A}}^{n_1}} A \rightarrow A A
\lefteqn{\underbrace{\phantom{A A \rightarrow \epsilon A}_{n_2}}} A A \rightarrow \epsilon
\lefteqn{\overbrace{\phantom{A \rightarrow \epsilon}^{n_3}}} A \rightarrow \epsilon
\]

\end{document}

9:55 PM
@samcarter :D

10:15 PM
@Node.JS Have a look at the underoverlap package

@CarLaTeX -- No reason. My college friends still call me Bobbie. (There were four Barbaras in my freshman dorm, three of whom were Barbara Ann. But that didn't help much because there were also five Anns. This out of a total population of 38.) One enterprising young male hanger-on then took to calling me Robert, but that didn't stick.
@AlanMunn -- A local street is named "Grotto Avenue".. I tend to pronounce it with a geminate t, but taxi drivers don't recognize that.
