@DavidCarlisle Penso che le palme possano crescere a Napoli

@DavidCarlisle boo emacs
@DavidCarlisle upvoted :)

9:12 AM
@egreg I am agree with you. :-) But I have done before the sequences because are more simpler than the function and I have used them because at the university I have studied them before the function.

@MarcelKrüger ooh das keyboard

@egreg Very kind Prof. do you remember the orded variables math.stackexchange.com/questions/4318567/…?
@egreg Prof. :-) good morning
:-))))))))))

9:28 AM
@PauloCereda Yes, I got a new keyboard and had to start with writing a driver. The joy of not using Windows...

9:38 AM
@MarcelKrüger ooh :)

3 hours later…
12:20 PM
I've been seeing messages like this for some time. I'm not sure exactly how long. I could try to isolate what package this is coming from. But I'm pretty sure it's coming from a package. It's not related to something I'm actually doing.
    LaTeX hooks Warning: Generic hook 'package/before/amsmath' is deprecated.
(hooks)              Use hook 'package/amsmath/before' instead.
In fact, the file from which this comes from doesn't use any math at all.
I think I must have loaded some math related package.

1:09 PM
@FaheemMitha but it loads unicode-math and so lualatex-math which should adapt to the new latex.

@UlrikeFischer Yes, I have \RequirePackage{unicode-math}.
Perhaps I should remove that.

1:25 PM
@FaheemMitha ignore the warning for now, it is harmless. And write the author of lualatex-math.

@MarcelKrüger Sounds like a bad case of chicken-egg-problem. How to write a driver for it when the keyboard isn't working? :)

@samcarter :D Actually typing worked, it just needed a driver for controlling the lights. (That might not sound very important, until you try to enter a password on a keyboard which is pre configured to highlight the last pressed keys with no option to turn it off.)

1:57 PM
@MarcelKrüger ooh

@MarcelKrüger yes, that sounds not the best possible idea for passwords :) It would be fun if it could highlight the next letter, like one of these learning keyboards which would flash a light for the next sound :)

@samcarter I'm not sure if I would consider that more awesome or more disturbing. :) The hardware should actually support that though, you would just need a program implementing the machine learning part. (Pairing with GitHub Copilot?)

2:14 PM
@MarcelKrüger for chat this would work fine, just need to teach it to to complete o with oh, d with inner and b with reakfast :)

@samcarter d could be both duck and dinner, as @DavidCarlisle usually points out.

@samcarter oh no

@mickep after dinner, there is only one possibility left

2:32 PM
@samcarter oh no

@PauloCereda <3

1 hour later…
3:44 PM
@UlrikeFischer OK

4:08 PM
Good afternoon! Anybody can shed a light where Generic hook 'file/after/translations-basic-dictionary-spanish.trsl' is deprecated should be reported? babel?

@Rmano same issue as Faheem just reported we "normalised" (that is changed) the names of a few hooks to make things more regular, the old names work so you can ignore the warnings, and probably package updates in next few days should make them go....

@DavidCarlisle ah, yes, thanks. I know from where it comes, the problem is I am not sure which maintainer to ping... maybe Jeff?
hmmm. just received a babel update. Let's see...
...no, still here.

@Rmano seems to be from translations not babel, so github.com/cgnieder/translations

@DavidCarlisle I'm too slow: @PhelypeOleinik already reported it

@Rmano yes well it's cheating to report bugs before you have caused them:-)

4:20 PM
@DavidCarlisle :-) yeah, just noticed the date...

4:49 PM
There is a strange typo in one of pdfTeX's primitives. I think correctly it should be \pdflostypos.

@Skillmon ? which one did you loose?

@UlrikeFischer well, it was called las typos, but guessing from the ending it should be los typos.

@Skillmon Oh

@UlrikeFischer we rabbits are good at Spanish

5:10 PM
@Skillmon ooh

5:54 PM
@Skillmon ... posted 51 minutes ago and @DavidCarlisle did not yet post a link to a traditional Spanish dish? Is he busy having dinner?

@samcarter must be the case! :)

@samcarter @Skillmon meant The Spanish are good at Rabbit

@DavidCarlisle that looks delicious!
I meant, ooh, no!

6:13 PM
@Rmano It's easy to be fast when you create the bug yourself :)
@FaheemMitha @Rmano FYI: tex.stackexchange.com/a/623548/134574

@PhelypeOleinik Thank you.

1 hour later…
7:18 PM
@Rmano oh no, now it's my fault? I blame @UlrikeFischer!

@Skillmon what did I do?

@UlrikeFischer not sure yet, but I'll find a way to blame you :P

@Skillmon where is the bug report?

@UlrikeFischer github.com/circuitikz/circuitikz/issues/596 but none of us is assigned.

7:37 PM
@Skillmon blame Joseph, he's the secret context user

@Skillmon ...and I am not able to reproduce it, because ConTeXt in TeXLive is out-of-date, it seems. I fixed the obvious error (using \begin{...}) but I do not know why it is not finding \pgfutil@protected...

7:51 PM
@Rmano well I have current context, but when I run the example I get an error that t-pgf.tex is missing and then it stops. And when I looked at this instructions how to install modules wiki.contextgarden.net/Modules I got the creeps ;-(

@UlrikeFischer ...:-O definitely I do not have to look at it now...
