@barbarabeeton I know. It was a nice place, I went to the Emmanuel Anglican. The sermon was very nicely made and well thought out which I always enjoy, just the presentation was a bit too American :-D we're used for a sermon to be a consistent speech with much less emotions shown :-)

@samcarter yeah, saw a similar thing in Vienna, and I have to tell you: As a visitor, I felt so relaxed with these rules in place :-)

here in NYC they also want to see vaccination certificates, but there is no way to verify them as most people seem to have a hand-written piece of what looks like toilet paper as their certificate. I'm quite the exception with the clean blue-and-yellow EU thingy :-)

@yo' here we got a black and white printout with a qr thingy, no nice colours :( And verification is often only done in theory. In reality many people seem to be satisfied to just check that there is something resembling a qr code without scanning to see if this is really a vaccination certificate or just a link to a sale of your bookstore or something :)

@samcarter it was par-par in Vienna, but most places actually scanned the QRs. Only two places did an ID check though.

I saw a tweet of a Czech guy who works at airport gates. He said that for the fun, on one flight he decided to scan the QR codes and check them against ID and boarding pass. It took him 5 people in the queue to have to call the police/security to a fraudster. (Who tried to run away. In the closed airport terminal.)

By the Czech law, falsifing the certificate or intentionally using a falsified one is a criminal offense with up to 3 years in prison. And that's only for falsifying the piece of paper, not for any offense against the public health.

@UlrikeFischer Looks odd. Probably there's a font with a malformed name on the system... It might be interesting to run luaotfload-tool -u -vvvvv to see what the last font file before the error was.

@MarcelKrüger I just tried on my system \setmathfont{LatinModernMathXXX} and miktex then hangs while looking for the font. Now I'm running luaotfload-tool, currently it has stopped at iosevka.ttc

@yo' -- Well, you've survived. "Too American." Wasn't always that way, but I grew up in a largely German-American community, which was pretty sober.

@yo' -- Believe it or not, I've never been in a Starbucks. The closest is in the ground floor of the hotel where we stay when we visit Quebec, so we have to walk through their "overflow" area when we return from a foray to the Basse-Ville. (Usually with quite a bit of snow. Signs everywhere to stay well clear of roof edges so as not to get dumped on.)

@yo' -- The certificates here are on card stock, at least at our local pharmacy where we got stuck, and an office supply store would laminate them for free, so ours are more durable, which is a good thing, given the disorganization of my purse. But a photo on a phone works as well, and it does get checked at theaters and restaurants where we aren't regulars.

@AlanMunn -- I go for hot chocolate, and my purveyor of choice is Seven Stars, a local bakery shop. (And it's good hot chocolate.)

@PauloCereda I just find it strange that it returns that output (not an error as such).

@PabloGonzálezL when arara is executed without any arguments, it resorts to the tool usage and returns 1, which is an exit status representing an error.

Which is different when you run arara --help, which shows the tool usage and returns 0, as the behaviour is expected.

@PabloGonzálezL our reasoning is that the tool doesn't know what to do when simply called without any arguments, hence the "error" status. But that other message (command failed with exit code 1: ) is not ours, it's the TL wrapper. :)

Whereas arara --help brings a correct run. :)
