@JosephWright oh

@samcarter ooh

@MarcelKrüger I tried out with xelatex, and after a bit struggle with the names, I got the following, and I think that should fit fine with your name variant:
\RequirePackage{pdfmanagement-testphase}
\DeclareDocumentMetadata{
   uncompress,
   testphase={tagpdf},
   activate=tagging,
  }

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{graphicx,iftex}
\ExplSyntaxOn
\ifxetex
% with dest one could create a "named" structure destination, but
% as the pdf according to the reference wants an array, we use obj
% so that we can reference it:
\cs_new_protected:Npn \__pdf_backend_destination_struct:nnn #1#2#3
  {
    \__pdf_backend:x
      {
        obj ~ @pdf.dest.\exp_not:n{#1}

9:18 AM
@UlrikeFischer Great. I'm guessing dvips would be similar, right?

9:36 AM
@MarcelKrüger I'm not sure. It is often less flexible. But if it works it should be similar and so I guess one can abstract from your pdftex syntax. Now we only need to get this in, and to get it also into luatex.

Q: Many thanks to Martin Scharrer

Joseph WrightTeX-SX left beta in 2011, and since then we have had a team of three moderators: me (Joseph Wright), Stefan Kottwitz and Martin Scharrer. All of us have worked hard to make the community work, mainly doing the 'garbage collection' part of the moderators role with (luckily) little of the Big Stick...

10:32 AM
@JosephWright ah I guess it's been on the cards for a while

@DavidCarlisle Yes

10:48 AM
@JosephWright do you know if he still plans to maintain adjustbox and standalone (and the rest of ctan.org/author/scharrer)

@DavidCarlisle That I'm not sure on: I know he has a little one so is busy

@DavidCarlisle standalone-fixed here we go

11:08 AM
@PauloCereda standalone-blame-ulrike

@DavidCarlisle ooh

@DavidCarlisle standalone-unfixed-blame-ulrike ?

So the community manager posted here and vanished? :)

@PauloCereda Huh?

@JosephWright I don't remember any comments to your reply about mod rooms. :)

@PauloCereda looks a bit out of place :)

@samcarter quack :)

(just saw the I replied to the wrong comment, it should haven been a reply to the cat/duck picture :) )

@MarcelKrüger ooh a secret room with secret messages
@MarcelKrüger And a secret link :)

2:17 PM
@PauloCereda good thing that ducks are so good at keeping secrets!

@samcarter that's true!

@PauloCereda -- Reasonable concept, but poor implementation. There should be either only one tail, or three. Two tails is distracting and ungainly.

@barbarabeeton we could submit a RFC :)

@PauloCereda -- You clearly have more experience doing that than I do.

@barbarabeeton ooh

3 hours later…
5:39 PM
@PauloCereda Dressing it up as a secret is advanced communication, when ducks are involved.

@StefanKottwitz ooh

@PauloCereda Don't tell anyone.

@StefanKottwitz we ducks are very good at not telling anyone. :)

@PauloCereda that's what you told me right now :-)

@StefanKottwitz ooh

2 hours later…
7:11 PM
@PauloCereda I don't see what the problem with semi-colons is.

7:57 PM
@PauloCereda It's funny, College Humor is American, but this joke seems to be based on the British musical notation names.
@StefanKottwitz @JosephWright How much time do you spend (roughly) doing mod work?

@AlanMunn 'Not much' - a few minutes a day, I guess

@AlanMunn I look at mod messages / flags every day in the morning (and several times during the day) and do what is clear (flagged as obsolet, abusive, off-topic, ...)

@JosephWright @StefanKottwitz Thanks. I might throw my hat in then when the election comes up. It might be useful also to have someone on EST.

@AlanMunn As @JosephWright said, it's not much, except when it's a difficult issue, but that's like once a year

@AlanMunn nice. I'm sure you would be a good mod too.

8:13 PM
@UlrikeFischer Thanks! I certainly know the site pretty well and am pretty level headed. :)

@AlanMunn Please do. I totally agree with Ulrike.

@AlanMunn -- Thanks for taking up the challenge. I think you've got what it takes.
