@DavidCarlisle well, you have to do it at some point. \protected@xdef seems like a good idea, I wonder why this wasn't done earlier already.

@Tommt_tsa seems to be on topic for the site, but there are not many questions.
Just 52 currently.

@Tommt_tsa 'ello! :) There are a few Lilypond users around, but I'd say music.stackexchange.com might be a better place. :)

If I want to remove the General: heading for top-level changes in my Change History, is it as simple as redefining \generalname as documented in ctan.math.ca/tex-archive/macros/latex/base/doc.dtx ?
Doing so seems to work but I still get a colon.
I would like to remove the colon so all the entries are indented the same, but this looks like it's getting into index issues.

@LaTeXereXeTaL the colon seems to be added by \changes so you coul dredefine that (just searching for use of \generalname)

@DavidCarlisle I have this weird disorder that sometimes makes me have to ask the question to see the answer.
@DavidCarlisle I redefined \generalname to null then removed \levelchar in front of #3 and it works perfectly. This all started because the tcolorbox documentation library apparently breaks using \changes inside the macrocode environment so I don't need General or the colon.
