@barbarabeeton The reminder is just enough :D

4 hours later…
8:43 AM
@barbarabeeton @Rmano Thanks for the tip with the rice! After a night in the rice box, the computer seems to be working, just the display is likely a lost cause. So no need to make a replacement in a rush and I can migrate all my stuff in an organised way.

9:43 AM
@samcarter_looks_forward_TUG'21 Happy to hear it!

10:34 AM
@CarLaTeX ooh
@barbarabeeton oopsie

11:01 AM
@barbarabeeton The schedule for TUG'21 is really nice (at least from my European perspective)! I can get most session by attending lunch until night, so just shifting the whole cycle for a couple of days will be a lot easier than the alternating times from last year where a day of staying awake extra long was followed by getting up extra early. Very consistent schedule this year!

3:00 PM
@samcarter_looks_forward_TUG'21 -- That's good news. It does seem biased a bit toward Europe. I.m a night owl, and the gap, from 21:00-03:00 is a disaster; anything before 07:00 is a lost cause. Sigh.
@CarLaTeX -- I'll try to repeat it a bit more often, gently. (If you feel too badgered, say so, please.) For now, think positively, step back, and keep a notepad close so you can write down ideas. You'll get there.

@barbarabeeton ooh using a notepad to write down ideas is an idea

4:07 PM
@barbarabeeton Thank you, Barbara! Indeed, I'm using Notepad++ to write my thesis

Would welcome thoughts on tex.stackexchange.com/questions/606804: is it a bug or not?
Or perhaps one for documentation?
(I guess I could make all tokens robust internally ...)

@JosephWright I would say it depends if you want to support the use case that people copy siunitx in an older texlive or not. I would probably more go for documentation, you could add some section "if you try to use with older texlive then ...".

@UlrikeFischer It's more the general point: we have a non-robust command uses as a 'character' in the input to a number; so far, this is the only one that's come up as an issue. I used to have an explicit setting for making things robust, but that felt quite awkward

4:24 PM
@JosephWright josephwright will release v3.0.23 of josephwright/siunitx in one hour

@PauloCereda v3.0.24 ;-)

@UlrikeFischer ooh

4:52 PM
@JosephWright given that it's robust in later latex, you could simply unconditionally make it robust, not really worth documenting an option that will become obsolete as people update latex

5:03 PM
@DavidCarlisle That's true
@DavidCarlisle I'll have to check the exact definition
@DavidCarlisle Ah, it's quite simple: good plan

5:34 PM
@JosephWright skype ping

@DavidCarlisle is it raining again or why are you showing up that early here?

@FrankMittelbach just got back but it is raining:-)

6:42 PM
@DavidCarlisle -- You've got mail. Not urgent, just needs to be retrievable.

7:31 PM
@JosephWright @samcarter_looks_forward_TUG'21 @MarcelKrüger cool people together. :)
We should give a unified talk, e.g, Any island-based coloured zoo, by Marcel Krüger
3
:)

7:46 PM
@PauloCereda A unified talk sounds fun! Let's alternate slides and see where this takes us. Looking forward to the session, it is nice to have all these interesting talks around my talk :)

8:33 PM
Plan to record my talk tomorrow if I have a chance

2 hours later…
10:06 PM
@UlrikeFischer @egreg Very kind last night I found the solution of my problem.Thank you very much. tex.stackexchange.com/questions/606482/…
