@Diaa shouldnt't the file explorer (or whatever it's called) find it for you?

8:07 AM
@Skillmon oh no
@Skillmon Very nice! :) My code was just a first experiment, so bear with me. :) PIL has a lot of ways of tunning colour quantization with ease, so congrats! :)

@PauloCereda my code is also just a quick stick-together thingy, currently using a massive tail of dependencies (scikit-learn and scikit-image...)
@PauloCereda you don't have to rush things :)

@Skillmon ooh rabbit code <3
@Skillmon <3

@PauloCereda oh, a carrot! <3

@Skillmon ooh

@UlrikeFischer yay

8:58 AM
@PauloCereda ;-)

@UlrikeFischer you need to start planning on getting some downvotes to hit 333,333

@DavidCarlisle oh no

@DavidCarlisle they will probably change something and push me over it as they did with 222,222 ;-(

4 hours later…
@AlanMunn this is very disturbing: twitter.com/SaturaLanx_Lat/status/1353618757508333568 :)
@DavidCarlisle ooh physicists
Oh wait, that's Heisenberg, not Eisenhower
:)

@PauloCereda I did wonder if I had posted the right link...

@LaTeXereXeTaL you are making the fundamental error of assuming that anyone has any idea what @PauloCereda is talking about most of the time.
oh wait a minute
oh no

@PauloCereda but not to worry, it's lunch time

@DavidCarlisle oh no

Now I'm a little curious. With the new hooks, can we start every page with the word 'text'?
\AddToHook{shipout/before}{test} seems to work, but does not hit the first page

3:02 PM
@daleif you probably should ask @DavidCarlisle about the afterpage subtilities ...

3:22 PM
@PauloCereda It's using Greek roots for Facebook and Instagram. Pipiare is what chicks do, right?
@PauloCereda "The place where one chirps" (???). I haven't practiced my Latin in years

@JairoA.delRio Quite :)
@JairoA.delRio My Latin knowledge is solely ecclesiastical. :)

@PauloCereda Salve, parva anas.

@JairoA.delRio Hola. :)

@PauloCereda Ah, interesting. I remember sometimes teachers quoted extracts from the New Testament. Easy reading compared with classical authors. Overall, Ecclesiastic Latin looks easier to follow.

@JairoA.delRio It is indeed easier. I have the Vulgata and an Ordo Missae, it's quite straightforward.
Of course, it's quite cheating, being Portuguese a daughter of Latin. :)

3:36 PM
@PauloCereda The same for Spanish. I wouldn't consider that cheating, or is it? Mmm...
@PauloCereda What's Ordo Missae? "La orden de la misa" (?)

@JairoA.delRio :)
@JairoA.delRio "Ordinario de la misa" :) es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ordinario_de_la_Misa

@PauloCereda Nice

@JairoA.delRio speaking of Spanish, I enjoy this musical piece so much: es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misa_criolla :)

@PauloCereda Oh, traditional genres from Argentina

@UlrikeFischer He'll probably notice at some point. Though I don't quite understand this users usecase for adding something to the text block on each page. I would just make the head space bigger and add it there.

3:49 PM
@JairoA.delRio Indeed!

@daleif which user?

@PauloCereda Taquirari is also a thing in Bolivia. Some "Argentinian" rhythms are in fact shared with Bolivia. Well, in any case, they sound far better than our "villancicos": youtube.com/watch?v=9kkc9l4djSM

@JairoA.delRio Oh my! :)

@samcarter_says_quack Worth the whole article :)

@JairoA.delRio :)

4:53 PM
@UlrikeFischer tex.stackexchange.com/q/580395/3929 egreg already answered

@daleif ah, well from the code I would say you want shipout/background. shipout/before is not really meant for typesetting. The material ends up after the shipout.

5:15 PM
@UlrikeFischer as I read the ops request the material should go into the text body, but I agree would be easier to have a larger header and use the bg hook

@daleif well the package doesn't do this. It adds a null sized box.

@UlrikeFischer that's what I told @PauloCereda millions of times. Bread isn't good for him!

7:59 PM
@Skillmon so cookies and crisps are OK?

@samcarter_says_quack I think that particular species feeds on Pringles.

@Skillmon with nutella

Sorry to bring bad news: I was informed that my former student and great TeXnician Gustavo (GuM, here) is no longer among us. I'm asking for a prayer or at least some moment to remember him.

@egreg Oh sorry to hear that. I only knew him via GuM answers here but he was a good member of this community.

11:15 PM
@DavidCarlisle yes, a very good one. I just reread the halloween math answer ;-(

11:47 PM
@egreg That's sad to hear. Even from my very limited interaction with him on this site's questions and answers, he seemed a really nice person.
