@FaheemMitha #Italexit 5.628 tweets at this moment :)

7:50 AM
@CarLaTeX I'm not sure I want to know that.

@FaheemMitha Just to keep you up-to-date about what we were talking yesterday :)

8:22 AM
@CarLaTeX I read it #latexit

8:57 AM
@PauloCereda Oooh no!

@JosephWright @DavidCarlisle is the list of stable modules in expl3.pdf up-to-date? Are the l3fp functions described in interface3 not considered stable?

3 hours later…
1:38 PM
@UlrikeFischer framebox internals probably not needed now as framebox is robust at the top level
@UlrikeFischer if we can get away without using hopatch I'll not split that from oberdiek

1:50 PM
quack

2:01 PM
@PauloCereda /rabbit sounds

@Skillmon ooh

2:16 PM
@Skillmon Everything except the stuff listed as 'candidates' is stable

@JosephWright so it might be a good idea to update that list :)

@DavidCarlisle as far as I can see only xcolor-patches.sty uses hopatch, and I don't see why hycolor/hyperref should correct this xcolor bug. We should remove this patch.

Hello!
In HTML version of _TeX Reference Manual_ it says that the height of the `\hrule` is `0.4pt`. Can this default value be changed? And is there a predefined dimen that holds this value, or does it have to be explicitly typed?

@bp2017 it's fixed at .4pt (no sure which document you refer )

@bp2017 It's hardcoded (@d default_rule=26214 {0.4\thinspace pt}). For an \hrule you can change with the height keyword.

Suppose I have a TeX file which ends with a number of included PDF files (using \includepdf). Is there some way I can get the length of the PDF file that is generated before the PDFs are included?
And is this a question worth asking on the site?
Though perhaps I should have led with my actual question. I want my included PDFs to start on an odd-sided page.

7:40 PM
@FaheemMitha \cleardoublepage ?

@DavidCarlisle Just tried that, but it doesn't seem to do anything in my example. MWE time?

@FaheemMitha are you using oneside or twoside ?

@DavidCarlisle I thought it was twoside, but I see that it's the article default, whatever that is. Let me trying chenging to scrartcl and twoside=semi.

@FaheemMitha that's oneside add [twoside]

@DavidCarlisle I'm now using: \documentclass[12pt, twoside=semi]{scrartcl}.
The first included PDF is still appearing on an even page.

7:53 PM
@FaheemMitha I know nothing about the koma script classes

Can someone remind me of one of those simple included PDFs that come with TikZ, for example? I want something that is just one page. I could test with a simple file.
@DavidCarlisle Ok, I'll try with twoside and article.
@DavidCarlisle Same thing with \documentclass[12pt, twoside]{article}.
Never mind, I had commented out \cleardoublepage for some reason.
I'm such a klutz. Ok, it works with article. Now trying scrartcl.
Ok, it works with scrartcl too. Thanks.

8:09 PM
@DavidCarlisle, @PhelypeOleinik, thank you.

@AlanMunn LOLOLOL

8:58 PM
@UlrikeFischer so update hycolor.sty so %\RequirePackage{xcolor-patch}[2019/12/15] and stop generating xcolor-patch?

9:31 PM
@DavidCarlisle yes. And write the xcolor maintainer that we no longer try to correct the missing Gray color conversion ...
