@mickep I'm pretty sure that malicious actors knew about this long before I checked it. My own server gets scanned by about 200 different people for vulnerabilities every day and I'm not even running anything with a lot of traffic.

@HenriMenke You are probably right about that. This also happens when one open a web server on the computer at home without any nice host name pointing at it.

@mickep That is for my own server (ssllabs.com/ssltest/…), even though the config is not perfect. My SSL key only uses 2048 bits, which is probably the remaining 10% on those two bars.

@JosephWright @barbarabeeton @PauloCereda I thought we could create a golfing TeX extension, it would basically be a TeX format, just the first byte of the file would be an indicator of how to treat input and output or what to load by default. I thought of the name: Golf of TeX, shortened as GoT :-)

@PauloCereda Well, it has to be clever. You for instance need quick access to defining new cs, something like (I know this won't work, but you get the idea) \catcode`\@=13\def@{\def@##1\bgroup} so that when you use @Hello #1} it expands to \def@#1{Hello #1}

how can I typeset $\delta A$ in a way that will tell LaTeX that that's one single unit, so it will be spaced accordingly when put into products?
so that e.g. $ab \delta A$ will put product-like spaces between the $a$ and the $b$ and the $\delta A$, but not inside the $\delta A$

Latex exports. I am looking for a hint on this. I've tried everything I could find but no solution yet. I read equations from file generated by CAS programs. I can't edit these or modify them in any way. Some of these are too long. Some are not.
To make them fit in the page width, I tried resizebox. The problem is that this will resize the small equation as well as the long one to fit the page width. Which is not what I want. I want only to resize the ones that are longer that pagewidth and keep the others as is. Is there a way in Latex to do this? Again, I do not before hand the size of

The above will resize the small equation, which I do not want. But since I do not know before how long the equation is, I do resize on everyone. Is there a way to find in Latex using some latex command, if an equation "will fit" the page width or how long it is? If so I can add logic to add resize if needed in that case.
What I mean, I want to resize DOWN only if needed. And not resize UP. Also, if you think I should ask this on main board, I can. But thought to check here first.

@Nasser I think the adjustbox package has something which does just what you're after.
 
Don't use an environment like split, but one of the "inner" environments: gathered, aligned, multilined (mathtools). They are not as wide as the line.

@egreg what other options do I have? sometimes cas generates an equation which do not fit the page. Now it overflows the page and one can't see the rest of it at all. Now, since in pdf one can zoom in a little, at least one can see it if needed. It is impossible to edit or modify these by hand, as this is done all using a program.
 
@Nasser That's what you told LaTeX to do.
@Nasser That's not an excuse for printing unreadable pieces of text.
 
So what else can I do?
That is the solution of the ODE generated by Maple. That is the Latex generated by Maple.

I can't edit it. I run the program many times each day. I have 10's of thousands of equations generated. Each time I run the program, it will generate new version.

@UlrikeFischer I do not generate unreadable equations. These are solutions of ODE's. The latex is generated by Maple. Some of them are longer than the page width. That is all. So what is your suggestion I do? Keep the long solutions flow out of the page? I can't edit these by hand. This is all generated by a program. I can add latex code around them that is all. But editing them is out of question. I tried breqn package, but that did not work. It broke many things as well.
@egreg That was just an example. That was something I added by hand to make up a long equation for illustration. That was not real solution to an ODE. Again, thanks for the effort. but I can't edit the latex generated at all by hand. It will take me a year to do. And I run the program many times each day. each time, all the latex files are overwritten again any way.
CAS providers do not generate good Latex also. That is why breqn did not work. many times they add {} around large expressions, which made breqn not able to break it. Also breqn has many other problems. So I no longer use it at all.
