@StrongBad Thanks, in the end I used @{user.dir}/rules in the config file. Maybe I tried . and not ./ in my earlier tests.

is it really true that both $4|8$ and $4\mid8$ are commonly used for divisibility: math.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/30586/… ?
I would expect \mid - since it is relation and also since the spacing would be the same as for \nmid.

5:25 AM
@MartinSleziak I would say yes. People usually stick to whatever construction they first meet, or at least that is my experience.

6:24 AM
Thanks for the responses both here and in the comments!

@AlanMunn You need a configuration file in the current directory with the path pointing to . :)
@PhelypeOleinik: speaking of arara, I didn't understand the issue. Couldn't we use % arara: makeindex: { files: [ names ] } and get makeindex to process names.ilg?
@AlanMunn github.com/cereda/arara/tree/master/docs When I generate the documentation for arara, I have a special arararc.yaml file in my folder which points to a custom rule. :)

@UlrikeFischer what do you think about this issue:tug.org/pipermail/tex4ht/2019q3/002336.html? I think make4ht -f odt should work without Xtpipes error in Miktex, but I cannot test it now.

@michal.h21 I will check.

@UlrikeFischer thanks

10:56 AM
@michal.h21 it compiles fine for me with both systems. As far as I can see with the default miktex tex4ht.env. I don't have the newest java installed, but it is not very old. And I have a tidy.exe in my path. I don't have word but libreoffice opened the odt without complains.

11:07 AM
@UlrikeFischer thanks. it seems like an issue with OP's instllation. probably outdated.

@PauloCereda That's what I thought I had done originally, but I must have screwed something up.

11:43 AM
@PauloCereda Yes, files does the job. I didn't read the manual know about it. Just ignore me :-)

What do people think of this? I think making close voters private is a bad idea.

1:14 PM
@AlanMunn what if we elect everybody here as a mod? :)

@AlanMunn What's your thinking?

@JosephWright Making close voters names public allows us to rein in overactive closers to some extent, so making the names visible only to the questioner seems like a bad idea. Also, if the names aren't public and only visible to the OP, then the closing become even more personalized, which surely is a bad thing.
I'm a little heartened that other people have raised the same issues, and so it looks like the names might be visible to people with close vote privileges. That would be a better solution.

@AlanMunn yes I think too the names should be visible.

@AlanMunn It's an impossible thing, for a lack of control and hence a serious possible power imbalance.
It's a step against sites' self-moderation.

1:57 PM
@PhelypeOleinik never read documentation. :)

@PauloCereda The quote in the documentation told me not to read it :-)

@PhelypeOleinik it's a good quote. :)

Woooowwwwww! @DavidCarlisle, and I thought our first innings was a disaster…

Good afternoon everybody

@DavidPurton @DavidCarlisle ^^^

@DavidCarlisle Hi, very kind David, I've thought of you. As soon as I have see now the chat I'm more quiet. I thought you were unhealthy at this time. I always wish you and everyone the best.

@UlrikeFischer At this rate the match will be over today :(

Excuse me everybody. But I have checked an answer, I have not seen the score. Is it my problem?

Q: Packages for drawing diagrams of Feynman: advantages and disadvantages

SebastianoMy question simply derives from this question: Bremsstrahlung process in \feynmandiagram environment I have seen into the site TeX.SE. there are many question on the packages to draw a Feymann diagram: tikz-feynman; tikzfeynhand; feynmp a package for drawing Feynman diagrams with MetaFont; fe...

@Sebastiano, community wiki?

@DavidPurton Hi, have you also the same problem? You can see my profile.

@Sebastiano What problem?

@JosephWright Hi, and good afternoon.
Into my previous question I have checked the answer given to me, but I have not seen the +2. Is it my problem with the site?

2:39 PM
@Sebastiano I mean maybe you don't get points for community wiki answers (I don't know, just a thought).

@Sebastiano One of the answers is CW: no rep

@JosephWright Ahhh :-( I not know this event. I have registered for about three years, but 80% of the site I do not know it. Excuse me and thank you very much also to you.
@DavidPurton Thank you very much for your support.

2:57 PM
@PauloCereda is there a way to add all subfolders of a folder to the path like with /foo/bar// in $TEXINPUTS?
@AlanMunn I think the biggest issue is hiding the voters makes it harder to come to a consensus especially if the VTC wasn't accompanied by a comment. If you know who cast the VTC and they are active in chat, I think you can more easily work out the problem instead of having to recruit new people to simple vote to reopen.

@Schrödinger's cat There is some one say with me that, Tikz don't draw in 3D exactly. It is 2.5 D. I don't belive this thing. How can I prove it?

3:20 PM
@StrongBad Oh I really don't know much about TEXINPUTS...

@AlanMunn -- I agree that making the names of closers known to the OP and to others with close vote privileges is probably a reasonable compromise. Making them entirely private could lead to misuse, for lack of review possibilities.

4:17 PM
@minhthien_2016 The cat hasn't been to chat, so he wouldn't have been notified of that message, I think.

Q: How do I find out which paths my (La)TeX installation checks looking for packages (on a Linux system)?

LokiRagnarokI know that I can check from where one particular package would be called, using kpsewhich <packagename>.sty and that if I want a custom package, I usually have to put it in the same folder as my document. I assume that similar to a $PATH, LaTeX checks a list of paths in an attempt to find m...

Good job I still have a copy installed!

@JosephWright It seems to be from the linked answer (I hope :-)...

@JosephWright I'm not sure, it is perhaps copied from the reference answer.

@schtandard Hi, how are you? I have received an email from Joshua Ellis for simpler-wick contractions. Joshua Ellis have not much time at this moment, but you'll change something of your package in the future. Bye

8:53 PM
@PhelypeOleinik: please, undelete your question and add an addendum with the files approach. I think your contribution should be there, please!
