@mickep quack <3

@PauloCereda a bit early in the morning, but
Apr 15 at 9:38, by David Carlisle
@PauloCereda dinner!

@DavidCarlisle oh no

@KhaledHosny I get the blue/black version if I use colr=yes. I can also change three of the colors:
\directlua{fonts.handlers.otf.registerpalette("demo", {
{ g=1 }, %accents
{ b=1 }, %06dd
{ r=0.5, g=0.5, b=0.5 }, %unused?
{ g = 0.5, b=0, r=1 },
}
)}
\font\quran="Amiri Quran Colored:mode=node;script=arab;colr=demo" at 20pt
@KhaledHosny This was done with the newest context fontloader in luaotfload, which I'm currently testing.
@DavidCarlisle ^^^^

9:04 AM
we should get @PauloCereda to redefine /battle to be between you and Khaled...

@DavidCarlisle ooh

@DavidCarlisle my colors are more beautiful - I learned that from the colortbl docu.

@UlrikeFischer I checked the current font loader, and the bug is that it uses the last palette color for layers using paletteIndex 0xFFFF (special value that means use text color). So layers that should be black become blue. Your screenshot shows the same bug, these orange glyphs should be black.

@KhaledHosny Why do the orange and black glyphs use different layers if you want them to have the same color?

9:30 AM
@UlrikeFischer a very stylish document, and a fine example to follow.

Good morning everybody.
@DavidCarlisle @UlrikeFischer Good morning from Sicily
@PauloCereda Hi Paulo.

@Sebastiano 'ello!

@DavidCarlisle @UlrikeFischer Dear friends, I have just made two reports from the user who continues to make misplaced appreciations. This user has the same characteristics as another who wrote the same way and I think has been banned by the site.

10:21 AM
/battle

@UlrikeFischer The orange ones are layers of larger glyphs, only parts of these glyphs (the dots) need to be colored. The one with no dots are not assigned any color layers at all as it is pointless.

10:51 AM
@KhaledHosny Sounds like a context bug. Do you know where the relevant code in the fontloader is?

11:14 AM
@UlrikeFischer github.com/u-fischer/luaotfload/blob/master/src/fontloader/misc/… That definition of default is bogus, it should instead not set any colors at all.

11:58 AM
@KhaledHosny grr. I wanted to report this to context and found a (context) bug that prevents me to test a demo palette.

@UlrikeFischer ooh I thought you found a bug that prevented you from reporting a bug. :)

@PauloCereda exactly. The first bug makes it impossible to test the second ;-).

@UlrikeFischer ooh

12:15 PM
@UlrikeFischer, @samcarter you two have a secret mail. :)

@PauloCereda saw it.

@UlrikeFischer it's a secret. :)

Mar 6 at 12:20, by Paulo Cereda
We ducks are not good at keeping secrets

@DavidCarlisle ooh a secret room
@DavidCarlisle oh no

@PauloCereda secretly replied :)

1:27 PM
@samcarter ooh more secrets

3 hours later…
4:05 PM
@CarLaTeX TokZ is now a very happy mouse, he just got mail that he won some cheese :)

4:36 PM
@samcarter Oooh

@samcarter Oh, good to know. Then this is not a spam email (I got the same), and I am going to protect our cheese from the mice such that the cutting board has a purpose. ;-)

1 hour later…
5:57 PM
ooh
@ChristianHupfer hi

6:29 PM
@UlrikeFischer You can see the expected behavior in this page as well amirifont.org/fatiha-colored.html (should work with latest Edge, Firefox or Chrome browsers). In case you needed more proof about my (and HarfBuzz) interpretation of the spec.

@KhaledHosny I do believe you. In case you saw the bug report in context: I mentioned your name not because I'm sceptic but because I thought Hans would trust your claim more than mine regarding such internals and regarding arabic fonts.

@UlrikeFischer That is fine :) I don’t that I have that much credibility, and the links are here just in case you needed to show more proof.

2 hours later…
8:19 PM
Uh-oh

8:46 PM
@PauloCereda Pizza pineapple?

Ola galera

9:42 PM
@egreg \fpsqrt{\left(\dfrac{\dfrac{1}{0}}{0}\right)^2}

@DavidCarlisle I assumed only floating point numbers are needed.

@egreg excuses
@egreg excellent edit to your answer:-)

@DavidCarlisle fpsqrt sounds like marmot language! ;-)

@marmot marmots don't have language just silly squeeks

@DavidCarlisle Nononono, that's completely off. We do have a very nice and elegant language.

9:52 PM
@marmot so why isn't it listed in the oracle of all known languages ^^

@DavidCarlisle I guess that the oracle must be outdated. I have a more up-to-date version, but unfortunately only in marmot language. ;-)

@DavidCarlisle you are looking at the wrong place why should marmot language start with M?

@UlrikeFischer clearly you didn't understand the interface which shows the english names of languages, i'll make it easier for you:

@DavidCarlisle but I thought in english it is called squeek?

10:21 PM
$ git push origin issue26
remote: Permission to ho-tex/oberdiek.git denied to u-fischer.
@DavidCarlisle ^^^^ ;-(

@UlrikeFischer hmm I wonder if that;s how github manages the difference between "member" and "owner" rights (you can have owner rights) what were you changing?

@DavidCarlisle I wanted to change zref-perpage (I added the code you suggested in issue 26). Currently it isn't merged in master, but in a new branch.

@UlrikeFischer nearest I could find was help.github.com/articles/…
@UlrikeFischer try now

@DavidCarlisle worked. I pushed a branch (and you can look if I changed all the version dates correctly ...).

10:43 PM
@UlrikeFischer looks Ok, want to merge it in?
@UlrikeFischer I hope to make a change to kvoptions to use "raw" option lists but then we should probably make a new release (at weekend?), do you have more "pending" changes?

@DavidCarlisle it is your code, you can do it ;-)
@DavidCarlisle not directly. I'm trying to look at open issues when I have some time, but don't know yet if something will come out of it yet,

@UlrikeFischer I've had no time to look at the kernel changes (and i want to change it to work better with existing koma code) so it's going to be weekend at earliest but I'll try to give you some advance warning if I'm ready to ship to ctan
@UlrikeFischer OK
@UlrikeFischer luckily I have a test suite in the oberdiek package, i've merged locally and running it now:-)

11:07 PM
@DavidCarlisle there wasn't much to test zref - but I added one more ;-).
@DavidCarlisle the adjustbox/luacolor question (github.com/ho-tex/oberdiek/issues/43) just changed in a graphics/luacolor problem.

@UlrikeFischer that's odd

11:23 PM
@DavidCarlisle it looks like a luacolor bug. In the pdf one can see that the color at the end of the text is not reset to black. The black color in the box is inside a q/Q pair.

@JosephWright I'm trying to use the RSC package to put DOI links into a paper I'm writing up. Just until I'm ready to send it in, so that I can click links to recheck things easily. However, it isn't putting the DOIs in, even with \usepackage[usedoi=true,linkdoi=true]{rsc} set at the start. Does the package not work anymore or something?
Or have I just messed up in some way?
OK, package is working, I can turn titles on

11:57 PM
Now the really fun part. Removing lines from my file until it works
So. many. packages. in. this. template.
