3:34 AM
that's cool!

3:58 AM
@UlrikeFischer Oh wow, sooo many z's ;-) Can lualatex also find the path of these characters?

@marmot no that's simply done by inserting pdf operators in the pdf. The pdfrender package does something similar.

It's a jolly 'oliday with Mary
Ducks are very good at singing

Quack?

@UlrikeFischer WordArt alert! :D

1:45 PM
@boycott.se-yo' that effect can be handy (e.g. to create slides with a very colourful background and still legible text). Not in serious documents, though.

2 hours later…
I was working on a TiKZ code where sides are to be labelled from 0 to 2 in steps of 1/4
I have a square but labeling isn't working
This is my code:
\documentclass[tikz,border=0.14mm]{standalone}

\usepackage{tikz}

\begin{document}

	\begin{tikzpicture}

	\draw (0,0) rectangle (2,2);

	\draw[thick] (1-0.2,-0.5) node[anchor=north west] {x};
	\draw[thick] (-0.5,1-0.3) node[anchor=south east] {y};

	\foreach \x in {0,1/4,1/2,3/4,1,5/4,3/2,7/4,2}
	\draw (\x cm,0.25pt) -- (\x cm,-0.25pt) node[anchor=north] {$\x$};
	\foreach \y in {0,1/4,1/2,3/4,1,5/4,3/2,7/4,2}
	\draw (0.25pt,\y cm) -- (-0.25pt,\y cm) node[anchor=east] {$\y$};

	\end{tikzpicture}
Where is the mistake
I couldn't seem to get it

@Shamina Try decimal numbers, \foreach \x in {0,0.25,...,2}
\documentclass[tikz,border=0.14mm]{standalone}

\usepackage{tikz}

\begin{document}
	\tiny

	\begin{tikzpicture}

	\draw (0,0) rectangle (2,2);

	\draw[thick] (1-0.2,-0.5) node[anchor=north west] {x};
	\draw[thick] (-0.5,1-0.3) node[anchor=south east] {y};

	\foreach \x in {0,0.25,...,2}
	\draw (\x cm,0.25pt) -- (\x cm,-0.25pt) node[anchor=north] {$\x$};
	\foreach \y in {0,0.25,...,2}
	\draw (0.25pt,\y cm) -- (-0.25pt,\y cm) node[anchor=east] {$\y$};

	\end{tikzpicture}

\end{document}

@samcarter Thanks! I kind of resolve it but the picture looks very small and number close by is there a way to magnify it?
	\foreach \x in {0,1/2,1,3/2,2}
	\draw (\x ,0.05pt) -- (\x ,-0.05pt) node[anchor=north] {$\x$};
	\foreach \y in {0,1/2,1,3/2,2}
	\draw (0.05pt,\y ) -- (-0.05pt,\y ) node[anchor=east] {$\y$};
I need them to be fraction, unfortunately. But the pic looks very small

@Shamina you can replace 2 with some larger number? or use a smaller fontsize?

@samcarter I need to have side like 0, pi/2, pi, 3 pi/2, 2 pi. So I thought I can divide by pi and then it just made it small because I can't get pi labeling in tikz?
Any other idea may be better then this I know, But i don't know

3:56 PM
@Shamina Maybe it would be better if you would ask a proper question on the main site and show what you are actually looking for

@samcarter Sounds good, thanks again

3 hours later…
6:40 PM
@PauloCereda Boo!

7:24 PM
@samcarter ^^^^ the tikzducks package turns out to be very helpful for explaining complicated mathematical relations.

8:05 PM
@marmot :)
@marmot Did you see the pizza science article? chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/47630382#47630382

@samcarter No, not yet (doesn't want to load). Is there more to it than "What is better than a pizza? Due pizze!" ? ;-)

8:24 PM
@boycott.se-yo' ooh

9:02 PM
@PauloCereda Psmith not active to count “ooh's”.

9:22 PM
@PauloCereda how do you do, pal?
