12:00 AM
And you presumably mean "pill" rather than "bill".

@FaheemMitha yes, it is the pill thing, not a bill as monthly bills.

@FaheemMitha I drink about 1.5 L of tea every day

@egreg @PauloCereda For the past three years we've had minor earthquakes (most of them are not really noticeable for human beings) every day and four or five times a year my city gets covered by ashes... so, yes, I guess you could say I'm used to it;

@michal.h21 yikes
@michal.h21 hopefully herbal tea.
Never really developed the taste for tea.
@GonzaloMedina volcanoes?

@michal.h21 but I am still confused. So I create one .mk4, for each latex file? and still use your command make4ht -u foo.tex "nma,htm,pic-align,notoc*" as before then? But I can't make .mk4 for each latex file, I have thousands of folders. Can I use one generic .mk4 and put it in my $HOME folder for example? Sorry for basic questions, but it is not clear to me

12:04 AM
@FaheemMitha black. but I soak it is just one teaspoon soaked for one minute, so it is not really strong

@michal.h21 I didn't follow that. Soak what with what?

@Nasser you can use the -e option for including one mk4 file

@FaheemMitha One: el Volcan Nevado del Ruíz. Here's a little film of december 15th; that day the ashes fell heavily over my city: youtube.com/watch?v=b49PpMjNUIc

@FaheemMitha correct term is probably infuse

@michal.h21 I see. Thanks, will look at it. Little more clear now. This is what I'll try, will take your .mk4 file you posted, put in my $HOME, and edit my make file to use -e option and see if it works. WIll report progress.

12:08 AM
@Nasser yeah something like make4ht -e ~/mycentral.mk4 filename.tex should work (I hope :)

@michal.h21 Do I need to keep all the current options? Currently I use make4ht -u foo.tex "nma,htm,pic-align,notoc*" so I need to change this to make4ht -e ~/main.mk4 ? what about .cfg file and all these other options? splitting, etc... Where do these go? To the mk4 file?
I'll just have to try it and found out.

@Nasser you can put htm,pic-align,notoc* to the \Preamble{xhtml,htm,pic-align,notoc*} in the cfg file

@michal.h21 yes, I already have these there actually. So your build file supports all options used for htlatex? how about splitting, as in make4ht foo.tex "nma,htm,4" etc... I see now I would need more than one .mk4 file, since I have many different options for different targets in my makefile now, and I need to have different .mk4 for each set of configuration? but will try it.
@

@Nasser see default parameters in github.com/michal-h21/make4ht#build-file

@michal.h21 do I need to update your make4ht? I just tried it and get error on `-e`, here it is : (my first time using your build!)
>
>ls ~/main.mk4
/home/me/main.mk4
>ls foo.tex
foo.tex
>make4ht -e ~/main.mk4 foo.tex
setting param packages

-l,--lua Use lualatex for document compilation
I might have old version of your make4ht. I am now installing new one from github.com/michal-h21/make4ht and will try again

12:25 AM
@Nasser yes, you need to update it. I also made some changes because of the answer, which I forgot to mention
I have to go sleep, bye

@michal.h21 thanks. WIll let you know how it works out .
@michal.h21 FYI, the git command you have to install make4ht sometimes gives error. I changed to use git:// and it worked:

>git clone "https://github.com/michal-h21/make4ht" (had to add quotes for posting here only)
Cloning into 'make4ht'...
warning: templates not found /home/buildslave-sage/slave/sage_git/build/local/share/git-core/templates

>
But this worked:

>"git clone git://github.com/michal-h21/make4ht"
ok now!

Even though I have latest lua curl libraries. Just fyi.

12:42 AM
@GonzaloMedina I see. Scary.
@michal.h21 Ok.
@GonzaloMedina how is Colombia doing these days?

1 hour later…
1:43 AM
@michal.h21 when you are around again we can talk about this more. But it is not working for me. No error, it does generate html, but it does not use svg and ends up generting png images and also not using those png images. SO there is still some issues to sort it. But thanks for your effort.

2:16 AM
@FaheemMitha With renewed hope, mostly.

@GonzaloMedina Renewed? Did something change recently?

2:49 AM
@FaheemMitha The peace talks. It seems, and most of us hope for it, that this time something good will come out of them.

3:05 AM
@GonzaloMedina Oh. I didn't know there was even a war.

3:32 AM
@FaheemMitha A 50 year old one!

5 hours later…
8:18 AM
@GonzaloMedina presumably this one, then.
The Colombian conflict began approximately in 1964 or 1966 and is an ongoing low-intensity asymmetric war between the Colombian government, paramilitary groups, crime syndicates and left-wing guerrillas such as the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, and the National Liberation Army (ELN), fighting each other to increase their influence in Colombian territory. It is historically rooted in the conflict known as La Violencia, which was triggered by the 1948 assassination of populist political leader Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, and in the aftermath of United States-backed strong anti-communist repression...

yo'
@PauloCereda Quack! I mean, Amen.

@yo' Quack! :)

@PauloCereda Earthquack

@egreg Oh no!

@PauloCereda Just joking

9:53 AM
@egreg Phew, for a moment I thought you were making an earthquacking announcement! :)

yo'
@egreg We should ask Randall, what if all ducks in the world quacked at the very same moment. (Don't worry @Paulo, you'd be included, too.)

@yo' ooh!
@yo': A nightmare of quackmarish proportions!

yo'
:D

Unless they quack during the day, so we will have a... daymare?
o.O
English is difficult. I should try German. :)
Or Czech, I'd save hundreds and hundreds of vowels. <3
@egreg: how are you feeling today?

10:11 AM
@PauloCereda Ibuprofen is very good.

@Nasser it seems that you didn't use your cfg file in the compilation maybe?

11:10 AM
@egreg Glad to hear. :) Soon you'll be biking all Europe again. :)

yo'
@PauloCereda not really, a nightmare is noční můra, a daymare would be denní můra. But at least, you get two of our funny letters :)

@yo' I thought I read Demi Moore for an instant! <3

yo'
@PauloCereda lol

@yo' Do you hear the different sounds of “n” when you say “denní”?

yo'
@egreg no, in most cases in Czech, there's no difference between single and double n. So denní and dení, or ranní and raní, are pronounced in the same way (note that dení actually does not exist, AFAIK)

11:18 AM
@yo' I love the U letter with the circle above. :)

yo'
This can be different for double d, which is pronounced as a single one, but in figurative speech, or for emphasis, you can actually pronounce both of them. Example poddat (comply, give in) and podat (hand over, pass).
@PauloCereda comes from Old Slavic uo, and in some time in history, it was moreorless a ligature.

@yo' Cool!

yo'
I'm thinking of a word that features the original sound vs. the current sound

yo'
11:33 AM
@PauloCereda No, there seems to be no English word with that sound at all. So sorry.

@yo' No worries. :)

yo'
I'll explain it to you while drinking good Czech beer in a good Praguian pub :)

@yo' Yay!

yo'

gotta go, see you later.

It is a MiKTeX thing:
This package is not in TeX Live because it has no licensing information.

@egreg That presumably didn't worry Nelson when he copied it into his bibtex collection:-)

2 hours later…
1:48 PM
@michal.h21 2 issues, but have to run now, will be back in 6 hrs. First: using your build file you posted, as is, tried it on the same example I have posted there, it did not work. It did generate svg, but also png, but the HTML ended up using the ALT= for images. Second issue, when I went back to my old makefile, the build went to using png, not svg. So had to remove the make4ht latest installing, and went back to the old make4ht (which I saved).
I also do not know how to tell it to use my .cfg when using your build file. may be it is just configuration issue. but will talk back soon I hope. Thanks again.

2:00 PM
@JamalS -- i've just learned that there's a "flash sale" for lucida grande: $1 each, presumably for a limited time. lucidafonts.com not free, but not expensive either.

@barbarabeeton It would be nice to know how one can buy them.

@barbarabeeton oh that reminds me, I had a question for you: if I buy the Lucida (OTF) fonts from the TUG store, is there a possibility to upgrade at a reduced cost if more glyphs are added in the future?

@michal.h21 I also have question on LUA. When I added a print statement in your Make::image function, in your build file you posted, and run the build, I do not see this print statement on the Linux terminal anywhere. I was hoping to debug it. I wrote this:
Make:dvisvgm{}
Make:image("svg$",function(arg)
   arg.input = arg.source:gsub(".idv$","")
   local fn,msg = locate_file(arg, "svg")
   print "Make:image ******************"
   if not fn then
     print("Image processing error: "..msg)
   else
     arg.filename = fn
     local cmd = "mv ${filename} ${output}" % arg
     print(cmd)
     os.execute(cmd)
   end
 end

@egreg -- presumably the page where one buys fonts will have the prices set up correctly. i didn't explore any further. it looks like one has to register on the site; that's the most likely link in the list at the top of the main page.

But did not see the line "Make:image ******************" so I am not sure this function is being called now.

2:16 PM
@barbarabeeton Very long procedure.

@PaulGessler -- i don't know the answer (re reduced-cost upgrades to lucida otf fonts bought from the tug store). i'll ask.

@barbarabeeton ok, thanks. Or I can always just send an email too. I just thought I'd ask you if you knew off-hand.

ooh we have a TUG store? I want to buy a duck beanie. :)

Happy owner of the Lucida Grande Mono font. ;-)

@egreg Yay!

2:20 PM
@egreg -- no doubt (don't know; haven't registered myself yet), but since there's essentially no legal protection for typefaces and fonts in the u.s., i can't blame chuck and kris for wanting to maintain control as best they can. (they're really nice people to work with.) oh -- i see you went through the process. congrats -- looks nice!

@egreg: have you seen the new ampersand glyph? :)

Hi all some pearl from the XeTeX mailing list:
Beside this: You should simplify your example. It is in no way a
"minimal" example.

> \label{anal-er-die-frau-nackt-sieht}

And you should perhaps check the names of your labels before you
send them in the wild.
@Nasser if output image format isn't svg, then this function isn't called
@Nasser you can also use -c option to specify the .cfg file

@yo' We're all waiting for the earthquack.

yo'
@egreg ah damn that, I'm afraid I'm screwed if it comes
@JosephWright If you are around, we seem to need a migration meta->main: meta.tex.stackexchange.com/questions/5973/…

5:14 PM
@yo' Done

yo'
@JosephWright thanks

@JosephWright running build ctan again..
@JosephWright is there a lua Unicode normalisation callback somewhere:
The luatex manual (texdoc lua) section 2.3 says you can do unicode normalisation in the file reader callback, but doesn't give an example. I have a feeling I've seem one somewhere, either an answer here, or the context sources or.... — David Carlisle 20 mins ago

@DavidCarlisle I know there is one as ConTeXt use it, but I can't say off the top of my head what it's called
@DavidCarlisle In ConTeXt normalisation happens on file reading: I know that because it impacts on the data files used for case changing (if they contain compat chars ConTeXt normalises them and that used to cause issues with some of the data)
@DavidCarlisle Work on case changing has thrown up some new items: expect team list e-mail later!

@JosephWright yes I suspect you told me that before which is why I had half an idea where to look, but the luatex manual is typically minimalist:-)
@JosephWright wow more team mail, busy day:-)

@DavidCarlisle Yes: I'm still to raise other things that I'd like to but have been keeping 'out of the way' to allow the LaTeX2e stuff to get sorted
@DavidCarlisle Everyone seems to be 'about' so I'll risk one on the case stuff: I've got a better idea of what might be 'reasonable'
@DavidCarlisle Mail Hans?

5:27 PM
@JosephWright I might just run grep on the context source:-)

5:45 PM
@egreg: Do you recall the post you answered where you used something like \section+ to provide sub-numbering... or was it \chapter+?
It relates to this:
0
Q: Appending alphanumeric character to chapter numbers

user1047354I would like to append a character to the chapter number in some cases but not everywhere. The change should also be reflected in the table of contents. The chapter numbering should look like this: 1 2a 2b 3 How can I accomplish this?

@Werner I remember it. Let me try finding it.

@egreg Yes, that's the difficult part. :-/

@DavidCarlisle Try char-utf.lua and related code

@JosephWright yep got to there from the thread thanks. Not sure if I could disengage the context dependencies enough to answer the question, but it's all good stuff:-)

6:03 PM
@Werner Found and modified.

@egreg Read and upvoted.

@egreg: Nice version too ;-)

6:24 PM
@ChristianHupfer @Johannes_B I haven't managed to escape from the banana club yet... :-)

@egreg you're missing the case if someone wanted 1 2a 2b 3a 3b I think... Maybe \restorechapter should be "public" and not "private" ... ?

@yo' Right! I'll try finding a better interface

yo'
@egreg maybe \chapter++ :D

^^^ My TeX library is about to grow! :-)

@PaulGessler: Got it already :-P

Thinking of a paper title .... The Abelianization of the Tribonacci shift is more <- this sounds truly non-grammatical :D

Eyjafjallajökull (pronounced [ˈeɪjaˌfjatlaˌjœːkʏtl̥]; Icelandic for "glacier of Eyjafjöll") is one of the smaller ice caps of Iceland, situated to the north of Skógar and to the west of Mýrdalsjökull. The ice cap covers the caldera of a volcano with a summit elevation of 1,651 metres (5,417 ft). The volcano has erupted relatively frequently since the last glacial period, most recently in 2010. == Geography == Eyjafjallajökull consists of a volcano completely covered by an ice cap. The ice cap covers an area of about 100 square kilometres (39 sq mi), feeding many outlet glaciers. The main outlet...
@yo' What's a Tribonacci? :)

yo'
@PauloCereda I thought you'll be coming to Catalonia, not to Island
@PauloCereda a Tribonacci shift is the shift generated by the Tribonacci word

@yo' I'm still stuck. :)

6:38 PM
In symbolic dynamics and related branches of mathematics, a shift space or subshift is a set of infinite words that represent the evolution of a discrete system. In fact, shift spaces and symbolic dynamical systems are often considered synonyms. == Notation == Let A be a finite set of states. An infinite (respectively bi-infinite) word over A is a sequence , where (resp. ) and is in A for any . The shift operator acts on an infinite or bi-infinite word by shifting all symbols to the left, i.e., for all n. In the following we choose and thus speak of infinite words, but all definitions are...
In mathematics, the Rauzy fractal is a fractal set associated to the Tribonacci substitution It has been studied in 1981 by Gérard Rauzy, with the idea of generalizing the dynamic properties of the Fibonacci morphism. That fractal set can be generalized to other maps on a 3 letter alphabet, generating other fractal sets with interesting properties, such as periodic tiling of the plane and self-similarity in three homothetic parts. == Definitions == === Tribonacci word === The infinite tribonacci word is a word constructed by applying iteratively the Tribonacci or Rauzy map : , , . @egreg oh cmon :D

7:37 PM
@michal.h21 Ok, so now I call your build like this:
make4ht -c ~/nma.cfg -e ~/main.mk report.tex
And it does generate svg now. but it is still doing one svg image at a time.

processing page 29
page size: 87.8707pt x 17.2989pt (30.883mm x 6.07986mm)
page written to <stdout>

I also do not see the print line I added

Make:image("svg$",function(arg)
arg.input = arg.source:gsub(".idv$","")
local fn,msg = locate_file(arg, "svg")
print "Make:image ******************" <---- I do not see on terminal

so it does not like it is calling/using this
@michal.h21 here is complete terminal output from running the command on the example latex I posted, using your build file and using latest make4ht from git
http://12000.org/tmp/make4ht/build.txt

8:33 PM
@PaulGessler @ChristianHupfer DANTE members got that as a birthday gift :-)

yo'
@egreg you're missing \chapter[resetonly] :)

@egreg I just wanted to finish off the KOMA naming Q, but was one minute too late ;-)

@yo' Why? If no suffix is given, reset is implied.

yo'
@egreg but what if you want to say: "The chapter group ends here." but without starting the next chapter just now...
(sorry, I'm moreorless just kidding ...)

@yo' What for? ;-)

yo'
8:42 PM
@egreg for putting it at the end of an \included file, for instance...

@yo' I have some useful applications of \include, none of them for the purpose it was originally devised. ;-)

yo'
@egreg lol, you could give a talk on that at TUG ;)

@yo' :) Anyway, splitting a chapter into two parts with numbers 2a and 2b doesn't seem like a common practice. Fortunately.

yo'
@egreg well, I can see a use for that, but as you say, it shouldn't be common.

how do we do `\`?

8:50 PM
@Johannes_B easiest is \

@DavidCarlisle hm, right

@Johannes_B with a spurious space after

@DavidCarlisle Not \textbackslash?

@twirlobite We are talking about markdown ;-)

isn't `` a special character?
ohh
i see i see

8:51 PM
@twirlobite @Johannes_B meant here in chat you can do `\foo` but a single \ is harder

ahh

@DavidCarlisle Fixed :-)

I am wondering if there is a lightweight WYSIWYG math-only editor LaTeX editor? That way, I can do my math using LaTeX but also advantage of output so that I can easily do algebra/understand the significance of what I am doing.

@JosephWright markdown or lowercase?

@DavidCarlisle Lower case is working in the SVN

@JosephWright what's the fixed way of getting \ without a space?

@DavidCarlisle Two backticks

@DavidCarlisle I wasn't shaving for days for the lack of a power socket in the bathroom, till i noticed that my electrical razor thingy runs on battery ... Seems i need a break :-)

@Nasser Scientific Word?
@Nasser I also found this thread: tex.stackexchange.com/questions/122724/…

@Nasser Do you mean Scientific Word, or Scientific Workplace?

@twirlobite same thing as far as editing is concerned

@twirlobite they are the same really. I mean workplace

8:57 PM
ahhh
hmm, but its not open source, hm?

@twirlobite you can download trial version for 30 days and try it,. nothing to lose. runs on windows only

@twirlobite there are also of course these days any number of online math editors based on mathjax, which might surve the purpose

@DavidCarlisle true, but I was looking for an internet-indepependent option.

@twirlobite you can host mathjax locally (I've got several copies:-)

oh?
hmm

9:02 PM
@twirlobite to use mathjax locally, get XAMPP, install it on your pc, then you'll have local web server. Then can use mathjax, without the internet (need to install it locally)

yo'
@Nasser things are so much easier when you're on linux :)
2

@yo' yes, on linux, everything is just there. on windows, it is not so easy to do these things

@Nasser thanks!
@yo' things are not always so easy on linux -- I hate it when I have to backport TeXLive because of I am on Debian stable
because I am on Debian stable*

@twirlobite So? Just install vanilla TL

yo'
@twirlobite I install vanilla texlive anyways, the distro one always sucks. It's as easy as downloading a couple-mega tool and running it. It even manages to port settings from other TL installations

9:06 PM
@twirlobite what they said ^^ :-)

@JosephWright what do you mean by vanilla TL?

@twirlobite step by step instructions to install TL on linux 12000.org/my_notes/faq/LATEX/htch2.htm#x4-2700021

hmm. maybe i am just more than a little confused with linux. so basically, you are saying i just download "normal" TL, and install it? that won't cause any issues, and it will come with all the dependencies it needs?

yo'
@twirlobite yes, that's the idea.

9:09 PM
how will it integrate with the package manager?

yo'
@twirlobite you mean dpkg? Not at all, probably.

@twirlobite TL has its own package manager

yo'
There are some very minor problems, like that you need to set up use the correct symlinks/paths, but you'll manage

@yo' yeah, or apt-get
@Nasser but what if i want to remove vanilla TL? if i want to be "clean" about it, i'll have to tell apt-get it exists, right?

yo'
@twirlobite as I say, it shouldn't interact at all.
@twirlobite why?
you install it in /usr/local/texlive and link the binaries in /usr/local/bin
I accidentally visited Emacs.SE. I'm dirty now until the evening and until I wash my hands.

9:26 PM
@yo' why?
(why is emacs dirty to you? i dont use emacs)

yo'
@twirlobite because Emacs is dirty :D

@yo' why?

yo'
@twirlobite it's an axiom. And also, @David uses it.

@Nasser it doesn't seem to be output of the mk4 file I provided

@yo' no please, i actually want to know your opinion.

yo'
9:28 PM
@twirlobite I'm really just joking. The truth is, while it's not my personal preference, but I still believe it's a very good editor.

@michal.h21 but I am using the same file you posted? I copied it 2 times from your post. Let me put a link to it. one minute please

@yo' what's your personal preference?

yo'
@twirlobite vim of course, and TeXworks for TeX, LaTeX and LilyPond

oh
i just use gedit.
i use texstudio for latex

yo'
@twirlobite I do sometimes as well, it's like the "default quick work editor"
@twirlobite used it once, not more. Its "features" happen to work as "burdens" to me.

9:30 PM
@michal.h21 it is here now 12000.org/tmp/make4ht in this folder
@michal.h21 I added a line for debugging, that is all

when i start thinking about editors, i start thinking about the meaning of life and how i should be a UI/UX designer along with a super programmer, a billionaire, and how there aren't enough hours in the day
along with being a super programmer*

@Johannes_B: Where do you think I got my copy from ;-)

yo'
@twirlobite that's why I don't think about them much. I take "first good". The first good I stumbled across was vim when I was 15 I think. gedit is a natural choice (default in my system, I don't need more than open, save, search&replace and gotoline from it). And TeXworks offers me exactly the very clean UI I need to be efficient.

@michal.h21 just to be clear: When I do make4ht -c nma.cfg etc.... now it works ok and generates svg, but it does them one by one as before. THe optimization you added does not seem to be invoked

@yep
@yo' yep*

yo'
9:34 PM
@twirlobite that seems like a good next choice for a username :)

@Nasser you don't need a web server

@Nasser yeah it seems that this mk4 file is not used at all and default compilation is used.

@michal.h21 this makes sense, since my print messages I added never show up!

@twirlobite I have a very simplistic rule for choosing editors, I just always use emacs.
3

@michal.h21 may be because I said -e ~/main.mk4 ? It does not like the home folder? I will try again now with .mk4 in same folder as tex file

9:41 PM
@Nasser you should try to place it all to the same dir, but on my computer it works even if all files are in different folders

@michal.h21 it works on same folder!

@DavidCarlisle Why did you decide to start using emacs? Emacs has a massive learning curve, and I have never known when is the right time to invest.

@michal.h21 ok. no problem, I'll figure a way now that I know it works

@DavidCarlisle I am attracted to Emacs because it is programmable, but also shy away from it because it uses EmacsLisp and not something like Python.

yo'
@twirlobite not true. Emacs has a shorter learning curve than vim for sure, because you can pretty much use it like you use gedit, and get deeper and deeper with time. With vim, you can't even copy-paste if you don't now loads of how it works, well, you actually can't even quit the program :)

9:44 PM
@yo' only if you are using a GUI version of Emacs that lets you use a mouse

@twirlobite don't ask me to make any objective comparison, I've used emacs more or less every day since 1987, so other editors just fail the basic usability test as they are not emacs,

yo'
@twirlobite what's the problem? Can't you?

@yo' if you want to use emacs like gedit, i think its just better to use gedit.

yo'
@DavidCarlisle seems to comply with my "first good" rule for choosing editors :)

@DavidCarlisle not asking you to be objective, as i recognize its impossible to be objective with these things.

9:45 PM
@michal.h21 using lua for doing these things is so much nicer than latex. At last I can read the code and understand what it does

yo'
@twirlobite now. Because soon you realize that M-x blabla is a nice way how to do blabla if you need blabla often. And so on. it allows you to learn graadually

@yo' hmm

@Nasser you can undertand it in LaTeX as well. it just takes few years before you are able to do it :)

@michal.h21 even if I can't program it, at least I read your code and had an idea what it is doing, since the lua syntax is easy to read. sometimes when I look at latex packages, I have no idea what I am looking at, it all seems like random number generated alphabets

@Nasser I usually find tex a lot easier to read, but everyone to his own:-)

9:53 PM
@DavidCarlisle Is it maybe because you are reading your own code?

@percusse Not always:-)

@DavidCarlisle the source of most of your documents look like xii.tex, yes?

@ChristianHupfer I know :-)

@PauloCereda i suppose the texworks user is the admiring onlooker in the corner

9:55 PM
@DavidCarlisle :)

@PaulGessler only when I'm using plain tex

If TeX had this we know what it would write
Donald, David, Frank ... wanted that way etc.
yes I don't do line breaks after for as this is the closest to a one-liner in matlab. :)

@percusse LOL

Ehem, did i miss something? Running xii.tex i noticed, that the log says i am running TL 2014. Did the tlmgr update of TL2013, which was strange anyway, upgrade to 2014? Is this possible now? Did i miss some note?

@percusse for i=1:20 why; end more on one line?

10:06 PM
@DavidCarlisle yes, all those stupid tricks with continues, commas. It's never a one liner
Not everything prints on the console you know :)

Dang egreg is fast. I just posted a question and he'd improved the post in under a minute!

@percusse so can I resist the temptation to code why.m in tex?

@Gregory He anticipated that you would come and ask it so it was there already
@DavidCarlisle Why do I feel that you have it already? :)

@percusse perhaps @egreg has:-)

@DavidCarlisle I bet

10:29 PM
For this year's Lent, I got a nice book on vegetarian recipes! :)

@Johannes: I'm decided to write my own recipe book. Now I need a good template. :)
^^ template

@DavidCarlisle This assumes I know about Matlab, which is obviously false.

@egreg You could reverse engineer the algorithm from the output @percusse showed.

10:38 PM
@PauloCereda books.google.nl/…

@egreg Only the true Messiah denies His divinity. :)
@Johannes_B Oh no!
@percusse Very nice!

@PauloCereda I know right? I wonder how I know that book :P

@DavidCarlisle As promised, team list email re. case changing sent

@percusse Because dessert. :)

@PauloCereda I have it

10:50 PM
@JosephWright got it. I'll try to make some test cases to get a better feel for this..

yo'
11:15 PM
Good evening, everybody :)
!!/why
@PauloCereda ^^ Psmith seems to be dumb.

11:47 PM
I think this is off-topic on Meta.TeX.SX

Q: Are there any decorative, TeX-themed posters?

MaxDI'd love to put a TeX or LaTeX poster on the wall above my PC monitor. To make clear which kind of poster I'm talking about – this would be a nice example for an enthusiastic ubuntu user: Until now I haven't been able to find something similar for an enthusiastic TeX or LaTeX user. Does anyon...

yo'
@ChristianHupfer this is IMHO completely off-topic.
btw, the second one today

@yo': Yes, I know... I voted for close/migrate the other one (something about , if I remember correctly)

yo'
@ChristianHupfer yep. Just to let you know: it's good to flag it for moderator attention since we cannot migrate it, only mods can.

@yo': Did you already flag it?

yo'
@ChristianHupfer it's already migrated ;) However, it doesn't hurt to flag it more times, it easies the job of the mods if they see a larger agreement. For this one, it's enough to write something like "please migrate to main" into the message.

11:57 PM
@yo': I see it still unmigrated, even after reloading the page

yo'
@ChristianHupfer you mean the new one? I didn't flag it since it's OT on the main site. And rule number # is: don't migrate bad questions, it doesn't help anybody.

@yo': Yes I meant the new one ;-)
