@PauloCereda good mornig! One question about arara: in the last weeks the topic "lilypond" was widely discussed on our italian forum (and in the GuITmeeting too). I wondered if you wrote a rule for arara in order to avoid to run lilypond-book from terminal.

@Francesco: Back on track. :) I have a list of tools to be included in the new version of arara, and I'm pretty sure I can write one for lilypond using the new underlying version 4.0 features. I might need some help because although I've used lilypond in the past, I used it as a standalone document generation instead of book integration. >>>

@Francesco: Since you are already one of my contributors (your rule is updated, by the way: github.com/cereda/arara/blob/master/rules/frontespizio.yaml) we could team up and write a proper rule for lilypond. :)

Just had a book chapter published: eu.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-3527333088.html. Taking a look at the sample chapter, I see c01.dvi as part of the file name :-)

@egreg well, only one of the worst serif fonts in use :-/ The thin strokes are just too thin and disappear even on decent printers

Well, this tex.SE answer states ISO 31/XI suggests the upright version, which might be considered a standard. However I agree it's too minor to justify an edit - though providing a global \d or similar might improve the readability of the "correct" typesetting. — Tobias Kienzler 31 mins ago

@tohecz What I like most is that physical constants must be typeset in italics because their value can change over time.

Why is Lua standard lib so void of powerful list manipulations? Why can't I go back to tedious normal programming now that I'm used to Python one-liner syntactical syrup? Why can't we have pyLaTeX instead of LuaLaTeX? Argh.

@Evpok I've never used pythontex, just know it's there:-) and as I say I'd be more likely to use tex than lua even in luatex unless you really need to access one of the callbacks to tex internals

how to make fancy style by default on all pages? it only applies when I use \thispagestyle{fancy}

@DavidCarlisle Well, it would probably be wiser, but at least I have some familiarity with Lua and it looks like a proper language. TeX looks like a queer relic of a long lost past. And it frightens me.

@DavidCarlisle The idea was Claudio Beccari's. I had a very primitive implementation ready by the end of that GuITmeeting. Later on the restricted shell escape came along, making things even easier.
