Is there a (reasonably) efficient macro that does something similar to

@DavidCarlisle I quickly checked how Bruno arranged to do the 'token by token' stuff in \tl_expandable_lowercase:n. As I suspected, it needs \pdfstrcmp under the hood.

I'm considering give up Emacs+AUCTeX as my main LaTeX editor in favor of Texmaker. Somehow, I have the feeling that the flexibility of Emacs does not worth to bear its non-standard behaviors (only one example : the copy/paste problem). I was wondering if I am the only one to want to quit Emacs after years of use ?
@ppr I like texworks PDF viewer. The one of texmaker is better, but generally texmaker is simply odd to me, I prefer the simplistic design of texworks. I miss some features of vim, but I use them much less than the smooth switching tex<->pdf and the full SyncTeX support.
@ppr I dunno. It depends on whether you like to have lots of toolbars: in that case texmaker is better, otherwise its complex layout would be a burden I think.
@tohecz Is Texworks actively maintained ? One problem of Texmaker in my opinion is there is only one developper (afaik) who is very active for now (but who knows in 3-4 years...)
@tohecz What about keyboards shortcuts ? i always try to reproduce Emacs+auctex shortcuts when I use another editor (it's likely not a good way to test it but I need strong shortcuts support). Is texworks handle shortcuts well ?
@JosephWright The opposite would surprise me. But is it possible to change the shortcuts ? (in Texmaker, it possible to change already present shortcuts but not to create new ones)

@PauloCereda Group theorists don't like it, because groups are not really a topic in the book. But you can even find Tarski's theorem on systems of equations and inequalities, Sturm sequences, the Möbius map, and so on. Just in volume 1.

@tohecz I own a cello and have been lending one while waiting for my electric cello to arrive :) and I have an electronic keyboard that half the time acts as an extension of my desk to park less important heaps of work :P

Helloo, I have an IEEE trans document. I have figures that I cite them inside the paragraphes. but when I cite the figures it write "f" the first letter of figure in small letter even if it is the begining of the sentence. How I capitalize it?

before I used this : \figref{fig10} shows the ..... I changed to this: \Figref{fig10} shows the ..... and the problem solved. Thanks
