@FaheemMitha You'd probably need to insert some negative vspace manually.

@UlrikeFischer kinda happy that I've stayed with the (x)fancyref route with our notes and book manuscripts. It does not need to inject code everywhere and perhaps break in the future. And the new updated seq based version works quite well. (just read the discussion on github about firstaid)
@daleif the cleveref problem? Yes, that is rather a pain.
@UlrikeFischer I can only imagine.

Hi. I am looking for some advice. Currently I have equations numbered by numbers, i.e. (1), (2), etc. Then I have a theorem where I have an itemized list with (i),(ii), etc. (although you can probably disregard this). But most importantly, I have two enumerating lists, one with (a),(b), etc. (call it list 1) and the other (call it list 2), well, I haven't chosen yet how to enumerate this.
I would like to make a reference to an item in list 2, but since I don't have titles for the enumerating lists, I can't choose (a),(b), etc., since on printed paper, you wouldn't know which list item I am referring to. I can't have numbers either, since that is for my equations. What do I do?
I think the best thing would be for my enumerating lists to be like 1a), 1b), etc. for list 1 and then 2a), 2b), etc. for list 2.

I found a solution I think, something like this.

@DavidCarlisle Thanks.
@Skillmon I always want to know why.
