@LaTeXereXeTaL perhaps it's just so good at tracking, you had not noticed. The evil ducks are watching your every move.

@LaTeXereXeTaL latex is the worst. While you run latex to syntax check your document and produce a beautiful error free .log file, it secretly copies all your content to a .pdf file and tries to hide the .pdf in plain sight by putting it in the same folder as your .tex file :)

@LaTeXereXeTaL worse even, it stores metadata about your work in an unencrypted .aux-file

@egreg Hi, Prof. Please, can you help me for this question? tex.stackexchange.com/questions/718317/vertical-line-disappear/… . I have not understood what is this line that disappear. Thank you very much. Best regards.

@Sebastiano I don't understand what the problem is: nothing is “disappearing”. I guess that the OP thinks framed is necessary for \fbox, but of course it isn't.

@egreg @Sebastiano confirmed on pdftex email list (where same question asked) it's just a viewer issue
@DavidCarlisle @samcarter @Skillmon Ah but is all that data somehow uploaded to DEK's personal server?
18:31
@LaTeXereXeTaL Imagine DEK getting flooded by all the horrible tex code one sees on the internet - I think he would switch this off very fast :)
@LaTeXereXeTaL ... but more constructively: github.com/objective-see/LuLu lets you control which applications are allowed to phone home - this might help to reduce the tracking and data collection.

@egreg @DavidCarlisle Thank you very much to either for your support.

@samcarter I use Little Snitch, but LuLu looks interesting too.
