Hi, there. How is it going?

1:52 AM
@GonzaloMedina Hola, que agrado ver que aún pasa por este sitio, todavía uso mucho código de tu geniales respuesta...Un gran saludo

2 hours later…

3:54 AM
@UlrikeFischer sorry, I was busy. The problem arises due to the use of titlesec and latexbangla: tex.stackexchange.com/q/603292/114006

3 hours later…
6:44 AM
@GonzaloMedina oh wow nice to see you again

6:59 AM
@JosephWright what should we do about l3opacity? Move it to experimental? Or should I like for l3ref create a -tmp version that is used for now?

@UlrikeFischer How did this come up? It was meant to be a 'bit of fun' - I didn't think anything would actually need it

@JosephWright Well I needed it ;-) I used it in the replacement for transparent.sty in the pdfmanagement code. But I hadn't realized that I have l3opacity locally, but that it is not on ctan.

7:44 AM
@UlrikeFischer OK, so I guess we just move to experimental and put on CTAN

7:55 AM
@UlrikeFischer "It would be nice if tabularray would add suitable hooks for this." you forgot to add "because David's packages are a dead-loss and have no chance of producing anything structured":-)

@DavidCarlisle ;-). If the tabular is not to complicated (and I don't use half filled rows), one can tag normal tabulars/x/y/longtables with a bunch of newcolumntypes quite ok, but I didn't see any comparable interface in tabularray, so I thought it would be good "das Fass aufzumachen" as we would say.

Meanwhile, in a German commercial: twitter.com/marcrebillet/status/1410308548567965698
ooh
quack :)

@PauloCereda Frühstück

@DavidCarlisle oh no

@Gaussler I'd write P but I expect you would prefer something like \letter[script=latin, unicode=0050]
2

@GonzaloMedina Hola Gonzalo! Great to see you around again!

9:42 AM
@DavidCarlisle \letter[script=latin, unicode=0045]\letter[script=latin, unicode=0078]\letter[script=latin, unicode=0061]\letter[script=latin, unicode=0063]\letter[script=latin, unicode=0074]\letter[script=latin, unicode=006C]\letter[script=latin, unicode=0079] ;-)

10:04 AM
@UlrikeFischer Should I do a PR? Probably best to make sure people are happy with the interface (such as it is)

@JosephWright yes, that is probably better.

@UlrikeFischer OK, expect one a bit later on

10:39 AM
@UlrikeFischer Done
@UlrikeFischer BTW, do we need to push on the ICC stuff for l3color?

@MarcelKrüger do you know if Pagella has a soft-hyphen.

@UlrikeFischer It does.

'I can imagine quite a bit' :) — Joseph Wright ♦ 15 secs ago

11:21 AM
@MarcelKrüger I think I confused something. How do I get in hyphenation a hyphen that is visible but doesn't copy as hyphen?

11:34 AM
@UlrikeFischer The soft hyphen is right for that, but you have to set the font feature -invisible, otherwise it gets hidden since it's default ignorable.

@MarcelKrüger ah, that was the missing bit. This now works as intented
\setmainfont{TeX Gyre Pagella}[RawFeature={-invisible}]
\prehyphenchar`\^^ad

@UlrikeFischer I would have used \prehyphenchar"AD, but I guess it doesn't really matter.

1 hour later…
12:37 PM
Have people seen stars.github.com?
Based on stars.github.com/profiles/jskeet, we should nominate @egreg

12:51 PM
@JosephWright agreed

1:07 PM
Their nomination criteria seems curious:
> Acknowledge that you have either met this individual personally, seen them speak, OR seen their contributions.
Why would they want you to nominate people who you might have met personally if haven't even seen their contributions?

@UlrikeFischer I see you have an issue for me ...
@MarcelKrüger ER, no idea

@JosephWright passing it on ... I got it from the acrotex author (which tests now the pdfmanagement and probably will find more distiller problems).

@UlrikeFischer Ah, right: I guess we might need a copy of Distiller at some point

@JosephWright I have one, but testing distiller is time consuming, also as I don't get an uncompressed pdf and can't make a quite check, and it is imho not first priority. But if he looks now and reports problem it helps.

1:29 PM
@UlrikeFischer Am I right thinking that the code works OK with dvips/ps2pdf?

@JosephWright yes, both links works fine there.

1:41 PM
@JosephWright distiller create an action /A and a /Dest (which then points to the wrong page):
5 0 obj
<<
/Subtype /Link
/A
<<
/D (section.1)
/S /GoTo
>>
/Dest [1 0 R /XYZ null null null]
/Type /Annot
/Rect [147.684 654.247 192.636 665.136]
>>
endobj

@UlrikeFischer Looking at the PostScript, I don't see a /GoTo for the hyperref code
SDict begin mark/_objdef{pdf.obj1}/Subtype/Link/A<</S/GoTo/D(section.1)>>
pdf.rect/ANN pdfmark end
 997 523 a 639 623 a
SDict begin H.S end
 639 623 a Fa(Section)28 b(1)971
566 y
SDict begin H.R end
 971 566 a 971 623 a
SDict begin [/Color [1 0 0]/H /I/Border [0 0 1]BorderArrayPatch/Subtype
/Link/Dest (section.1) cvn H.B /ANN pdfmark end
@UlrikeFischer We need to think policy here: as it works with ps2pdf, actually testing is a pain and it's not that useful to many people (then again, if we want to shift the backend entirely, we have to)

2:06 PM
@UlrikeFischer Taking a look, I'm pretty sure I was matching what pdfTeX produces, more or less (I've not abbreviated)

2:23 PM
@UlrikeFischer See team list

2:42 PM
@JosephWright sorry was just out a bit. Will answer on the list.

3:39 PM
@GonzaloMedina -- Welcome back! We've missed you!
