@JosephWright @MartinScharrer @StefanKottwitz Can you maybe take this request to the powers? Because this is eventually something that only they can do.

Q: Show user group membership in user info box

Henri MenkeIn today's discussion session at TUG2019, Jim Hefferon asked whether it would be possible to add a badge for user group membership to the user info box. Here is a mockup of what I have in mind, where the TUG logo would be a direct link to the TUG homepage (similarly for other user groups, of cou...

Hi @HenriMenke. Thank you for the answer. Do you use Lua to call things like Julia for "real" work?

7:11 AM
@FaheemMitha Not yet, but there I have a few applications in mind.

@HenriMenke Ok.

@campa I confirm and approve your comment. In fact I have deleted my answer and thank you so much for the notice that I appreciate. +1

11:53 AM
@Sebastiano I wasn't suggesting to delete your answer. I was merely pointing out that the effect of \scalebox{2}[1]{\scaleobj{0.6}{...}} is much more easily achieved by \scalebox{1.2}[.6]{...}.

12:13 PM
@campa Don't worry. The other answer it the best :-). Always grazie.

@JosephWright should we be offended that none of our packages make this list of important packages for scientific papers? andreas-zeller.blogspot.com/2017/01/…

@DavidCarlisle Where can I download the tenure package?

Hi, someone knowing how to round fp number to nearest integer with siunitx?
\num[???]{3.14} ==> 3

12:56 PM
@AlexG I'd try with \num[round-mode=figures,round-precision=1]{3.14}. But I always forget the difference between figures and places in round-mode.

@campa Thank you for your swift help. Works perfectly!

@DavidCarlisle the blame package is missing in the list.

@HenriMenke Also, do you have any idea why the original version of the Julia example works on Arch and Fedora, but not on Debian?
Oh, and your example makes it seem like creating a Debian system with Docker is really easy. Is it actually so easy, or is there some missing setup?
@DavidCarlisle I assume this is an attempt at comedy. He forgot the makemycoffee package.
Having said that, some of those could be quite useful. If they actually existed.

1:41 PM
@UlrikeFischer I blame you for not writing that.

@DavidCarlisle ooh

@DavidCarlisle is poor @UlrikeFischer to be blamed for everything?

@HaraldHanche-Olsen I hope you are not suggesting that this chat is consistently repetative

@DavidCarlisle Oh goodness, no!

@DavidCarlisle ooh

1:55 PM
@HaraldHanche-Olsen that's alright then.

@HaraldHanche-Olsen oh no

@DavidCarlisle We're fast approaching the day in which all chat messages will be recycled.

2:16 PM
@DavidCarlisle you shouldn't give me such ideas ;-) I started to think about the options of such a package ...

2:27 PM
@HaraldHanche-Olsen I'd say we're almost there...
@UlrikeFischer You don't need to write it. Version control systems have that functionality, and have had it for a long time.

@FaheemMitha Good reason for not using version control. That way I can always blame bad TeXing on other people :-)

3:06 PM
@campa Everyone should use version control.

This is a only test with MathJax with add-ons Google Chrome
$F=ma$; not work here. :-(

9:47 PM
@Sebastiano there are addons you can get to inject mathjax onto pages, but it would be odd to use it here as it would mean that you are seeing different text to everyone else

@DavidCarlisle Kind David now work and I see the correct visualization. Of course I agree with you because we only care about the code and not the output in the chat. I just wanted to see if it worked everywhere. I am also a Physics.SE. member and only interested in that chat. I always thank you for your valuable suggestions.
