@JosephWright I usually have a look at the TeX Live repository in the morning, to see what's in the list of updates. Since magyar.ldf is quite a problematic piece of software, I checked the changes.
@ChristianHupfer @PauloCereda @yo' My new phone doesn't have buttons. It is touchy. How high are my chances to get a hit the right field chance of > 50% after a week?
@Johannes_B -- my husband and i have identical phones. he uses his for sending mail as well as the usual "phone" activities. his tag line on mail is "Small keyboard. Apologies in advance for brevity and auto-corrections." good luck. (i even have problems entering the correct phone number.)
@barbarabeeton Tried with my thumb and just one hand. A desaster. But the telephone in one hand and using the other to type: This is better. I can use three finders with the same error rate.
@Johannes_B depends. It took me some time to get used to it, especially after the Google Keyboard update (I ranted about it here couple times, the thing is very bad).
@Johannes_B try the horizontal mode and two thumbs, that's one of my favourite for typing mails.
@Johannes_B I am older than you and got my first mobile phone four years ago ;-) If I've got to manage the phone within one day, it should be even easier for you ;-)
@ChristianHupfer I got my first mobile phone about 15 years ago. But it had buttons. And only within the last year, i came in touch with smart devices.
@ChristianHupfer I foolishly connected to my WLAN and the phone (device) asked me to synchronize mails. This is going on for 45 minutes now.
@Johannes_B oh I stopped being informed about spam years ago, at the time i was getting around 10-15 thousand a day and getting a similar number of spam warnings on top was no fun...
@Johannes_B: If you have a google account and use TB, the Spam sub folder has your files, but usually, I don't look into that. Google's spam filter is quite accurate, in my point of view!
Can siunitx handle control sequences instead of numbers? I am looking for something like \SI{\csuse{X1}}{\meter}` where \csuse{X1} expands to a number. I can probably write it myself, but want to make sure it hasn't already been done.
Right now I have:`\newcommand{\csSI}[1]{\begingroup% \ifcsvoid{#1}{% \GenericWarning{}{\string#1 is not defined}{}{}% \def\@tempa{\endgroup\SI[parse-numbers = false]{???}}% }{% \def\@tempa{\endgroup\SI{\csuse{#1}}}% }% \@tempa% Ends the group }`
@StrongBad \NewDocumentCommand\foo{mm}{\ifcsname #1\endcname\SI{\csname #1\endcsname}{#2}\else\ERROR\fi} at the very least but really if your input is defective an error is hardly unexpected
@ChristianHupfer Does it look like a number to you ;-)
@StrongBad You could add \relax to the known tokens for a number, but really this is not at all right
@ChristianHupfer it depends what effect you want it to have
@ChristianHupfer if you \def\jobname then things get a bit strange, any tex primitive behaviour will use the hidden primitive \jobname (eg name of pdf or dvi file) but any macro using \jobname (like name of latex aux file) will use the \def'ed name.
@ChristianHupfer Tried to install whatsapp, because, you know ... Not enough memory. I've been told i can move stuff to the sd card, but i don't know freaking how.
The monitor of that thing is unbelievably bright at this time of day.
And it once again tells me that some crappy app died.
Why do i deserve this? Why cannot i have just a phone instead of a device like that?
@ChristianHupfer My phone died. It could handle phone calls, short messages and could wake me in the morning. I didn't even needed a time table calendar thing or a calculator.
I am looking for template for writing PhD Thesis in Latex.
Although some are available on internet but they require lots of installations and even doing so leads to errors.
Will be grateful for the help.
Thanks.
