Hi all, I've got a question

I've run into some unexpected troubles using TeXStudio. It's always been working fine, but all of a sudden it's giving me big trouble with images

It's giving me the "cannot determine size of graphic" error, but the solution posted to a question on this site didn't work

I'm unable to load any pictures, and even a tex file that does nothing but making the picture runs into the same trouble, so I assume I accidentally messed up some settings

hmmm it's using latex as default engine?

in fact with jpg I was able to get it to load a picture by giving natwidth and height, but it was black&white?!

I strongly suspect I messed up my editor settings somehow, possibly when I was switching to biblatex

I do recall changing some build settings back then

@Danu: sorry for the silly question, which engine are you running? latex or pdflatex?

Do you have a sample .tex file?

@Danu Paulo is asking the important questions :) regular ole' latex has problems with some image formats, but pdflatex supports quite a few more formats
