@humn There's also a grammatical English sentence with "had" six times in a row.
Which always reminds me of this puzzle:
5

@Randal'Thor , And that reminds me that i almost publicly commented on the efficiency of your recent MUST (+ MU?) + US + STY = MUSTY riddle. Four (five?) words in just 5 letters flat!
And those two puzzles together make me wonder about a riddle something like:
HA + A + {AD,AH,AM,AS,AT} = {HAD,HAH,HAM,HAS,HAT}?
Or, special for PSE, how about:
A + AH + HA + A = AHA!? (one of the clues for A could be ~"a duplicate")
That puzzle also reminds me of:
"What's that on the road ahead?" vs "What's that on the road, a head?"
But the best i'm getting with "had" is 5:
"Had" wouldn't've been so bad had "had" had had "had" after it.
Although here are 8 "said"s if we allow names, 9 if 'postrophes and s p a c i n g are ignored:
After Said said "Said" "Said said `Said'" said Said's aide.
Not to mention 'postrophes by the threes:
I'dn't've written this if you'dn't've gotten me goin'.
Thank you for getting me had, Rand aL'inguistrick!
