Q: post production on Game of Thrones

RuudvHis there a chance some of the cast will be called back into Belfast to shoot additional scenes? even though filming has concluded?

@Skooba Sansa’s just a level ahead of you mate. I don’t see what’s wrong with deceiving the audience. At least it was something random in the season, and got rid of the noise that is LF. And tbf, for anyone to trick chaosh himself, one would need to be pretty damn convincing, leaving most everyone out of the plan until the last mo
@Jolenealaska while they’re not confirmed to be canonical (not published in the books yet) I would still tag it and then spoiler any spoilers as necessary. Although it’s only really the title that needs to be spoiler-free and the first 200 characters.

@Jolenealaska If I'm remembering things right, this was one of the pivotal moments when Sansa started really thinking for herself instead of just following along with whatever someone else told her to do

@Skooba The script says everyone knew it was LFs trial, I think it came down to poor editing

hmm, I can't remember the exact scene. Just feels like they wanted to create a "oh shit" -> "Everything went better than expected" moment.

The Sansa bit?
It was designed to be "Oh god Arya's on trial, then she turns her head and everyone's reaction is "YES FINALLY!" except those weirdos that are team balish...
Also everyone who's like "Shouldn't he who passes the sentence swing the sword?!"
Well Ned says this in the first book
"His lord father smiled. "Old Nan has been telling you stories again. In truth, the man was an oathbreaker, a deserter from the Night's Watch. No man is more dangerous. The deserter knows his life is forfeit if he is taken, so he will not flinch from any crime, no matter how vile. But you mistake me. The question was not why the man had to die, but why I must do it."

Bran had no answer for that. "King Robert has a headsman," he said, uncertainly.

"He does," his father admitted. "As did the Targaryen kings before him. Yet our way is the older way. The blood of the First Men still flows in
Should've left it as the original context. But the main point is the "If you would take one's life, you owe it to them to look into their eyes and hear their final words..."

@Edlothiad I guess that's partially what's off about that turn of events. It's a scene that is intentionally and pretty explicitly feel-good. Kinda out of style

It's nice to get a bit of feel good every once in a while.

@Mithrandir24601 Yes, that was it. Obviously, Littlefinger was a poor choice for a potential ally (Look to The Hound stupid girl!), but the act finally indicates that just maybe she has the stuff to not allow herself to simply be ground into dust.

@JAD To be honest, I kinda felt that season 7 just didn't have the same panache as the earlier seasons :/ Although it's gotta be said: You can't outdo the faceless men at this kind of thing :D

@Jolenealaska she admits herself that she may be a slow learner but that he’s taught her the game and she’s learnt to play it. She doesn’t seem to feel in control but actually not be, anymore. Towards the end of S7 she seems to realise she isn’t as great as she was/isn’t in control, but she’s learnt to be deceptive.
@Mithrandir24601 for Six seasons they mostly had pretty good guidance from Martin’s works. Now they were on there on. They new the endings, but they had to play “connect the dots” with the characters they had.

@Edlothiad Yeah :/
