Okay, so is there any reason NOT to use the format JHSF+ and the partition map GUID? It seems like they are the most universal, but I want to know if there are any times I should avoid those. Also, if there is any good resource to learn more about all of these in general, I'd appreciate it.
The last Time I checked a 128 bit RC4 encryption of the whole document was used.
Also, compatability should be vested.
A previous version of this answer contained a link to the GuaPDF website. The trial download contained a virus Slenfbot-E and was intercepted by Sophos AV:
@gentmatt Thanks - flag for spam/harmful is a good solution here - but perhaps it was an innocent post. I'll poke a bit to see if other posts have that link.
It looks like it was more a problem on the vendor side - so thanks for the notice that the cracking software was either cracked itself or designed to crack into more than just a PDF file.
Question for you networking gurus...I just bought a USB network server (for serving our printer, and potentially our backup drive). It works great with our printer...for awhile. Then it doesn't print, and I have to manually unplug the printer from the server and plug it back in(I don't have to restart the server, unplugging and plugging it back in will do). What's going on here? I can't seem to figure it out. I have an idea that it's because our network doesn't have static IPs. Could that be it?
