@nohillside , are you online?

@TAbdiukov on and off :) How can I help?

About this question, apple.stackexchange.com/q/431355/369389 - I know the question went off the rails, but what I tried to ask is this: Is there Microsoft-approved printer to file ( such that would print anything to PDF/XPS/etc) on Mac, just like there is one by Adobe. I try to think of the best way to edit (if at all edit and not rewrite question from scratch) the question so that I can be understood correctly. What do you suggest?

Thanks for reaching out. The site works best if you ask about practical problems to be solved, it works not so good for general or even theoretical questions. So if you have a practical problem to solve (e.g. "I need to generate XPS documents from Word for my boss, how can I accomplish this on macOS"), try to be specific about it.

Well, I'd say this is for legal reasons. I want to save to file some evidence that I can only print, but I want to use as many trusted vendors' virtual printers available on Mac. I think if I ask this question, that'd be not suitable because I'd be asking for software suggestions

Asked like that it will probably first lead to a discussion about why PDF isn't good enough.
This finds canyua.com/mac/xps-editor-pro (amongst others) which at least claims to be able to edit XPS as well. So not sure XPS alone is suitable as an output-only format anyway.
The reason a lot of software recommendation questions get closed is mainly because the answer is often just a web search away.

I'm not an XPS fan, I just look for big corporations' made virtual printers for mac :)

The problem is it's not by Microsoft (something I look for), but good to know there are tools to view/edit XPS should I (ever!) need to

I think you can close the question if you think it's not a good addition. I think I found out all I needed and I won't take the closure of question personally :)

Well, then edit the question accordingly. Also, as I know about xps-editor-pro know, please already explain why this does not work for you
If you are worried about backdoors, Microsoft isn't automatically more trustworthy than other vendors...

No, again, I needed some big company's solution for virtual printing on Mac, like Adibe offers
I wasn't looking particularly for XPS, rather into whether Microsoft offers a virtual printer solution for Mac

I honestly still not sure I understand what you are actually looking for. There is a virtual printer solution, offered by Apple
(which, I assume, is big enough :-))

Yes, that's right, there is one by Apple which is great, but I was wondering if any other big companies offered something similar for Mac

Which brings us back into "sounds like something you can google" territory :-)

Well, in the perfect world yes; but everything Apple-related seems very hard to Google, especially for unusual problems
Speaking of, that reminds me I need to write an answer I found out to one question I saw back in the day :)
