@JBis Agree with the others. That is, when an iPhone with 5G is launched, it'll be backwards compatible with 4G, 3G and 2G. The 5G chipsets are backwards compatible down to 2G because many parts of the world still use 2G cellular networks.
@JBis It's actually a very clever ad by Epic Games and strikes at the heart of Apple (albeit one without Steve Jobs present). That said, it's not just Apple now, but Google as well. It will be interesting to see how these App Store 'monopolies' fair in the courts (both legal and public opinion).

@Monomeeth Definitely will be interesting! I think if they got rid of their 30% fee for subscription or allowed other subscription mechanism, and laxed some of their submission policies, they could still retain the monopoly on the app marketplace for iOS (that is only allowing users to download apps from the App Store).
If they don't, they risk loosing the exclusive App Store as well
but I also think there are bigger anti-trust issues that aren't being discussed because they are a bit technical. For example the fact that chrome nor firefox are able to put out a real browser because Apple forces them to use WebKit is a big issue imo.

grr
I've been on iOS 14 for a while. I now have a habit of clearing my clipboard after pasting something.
I don't believe any apps that say the accessing clipboard was a bug. Doesn't make sense. Maybe the bug was getting caught.

Can I get help editing this if it’s clear to you what OP is asking?

Q: What is the equivalent of "Alternatives" for MacOS

hagubear"Alternatives" is the search that Google failed to "Intelligently" interpret. Because it also happens to be a utility to manage symlinks on Linux. When you search Alternatives equivalent for MacOS - A list of OS choices come up :( https://linux.die.net/man/8/alternatives I am looking for somethin...

Are they looking for software to manage sets of $PATH in a specific shell? Are they looking for alternative OS to run?

@bmike They are looking for ways to install different versions of a program in parallel and switch between them.

That seems reasonable. Thanks for the clarifying comment on the post. An edit might help greatly to remove the various takes on what’s being asked.
