There sure is lots of noise around Catalina upgrades failing the past day or two....

Including 5is strange report that Apple didn’t offer suggestions...
Maybe they meant Apple suggested what Idid and they are here for other options?

I can’t recall the last time a forked build cause so many install failures. It looks like a no data loss situation for most.

Tony WilliamsThere was a known issue with upgrading or installing Macs with a T2 chip, such as yours, to macOS 10.15.6. Apple have yet to acknowledge the problem but have rolled out (about 3 hours ago) a new update to the software catalog that is reported to fix the problem. Give it another try now.
