Hi Admins :)
I'd flagged this - https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/398659/ios-mail-downloads-when-set-to-manual-but-on-charge - because I wasn't sure what to do with it.
After that I dropped a comment underneath & unprotected the question I'm assuming this is an answer to. Let's see if the OP will move it over himself, after which the misplaced Q can be dealt with.

@Tetsujin I agree with nohillside -it’s great you give the OP opportunity to answer your question, but after a pause - go ahead and self-answer and link to / give credit to the OP for the inspiration / answer. You can always delete your answer if another one is better or OP shows up with their take on your problem. Great find!

@nohillside Yeah - I was going to see if it actually works before editing it into shape ;) [it would also look less like we're shoving the new user around several times in their first day.]
