Now that we have finally a 16" MacBook Pro does anyone know if we will get a new Mac Pro in 2019? Or any idea when?

@user300323 Welcome to Chat! :)
Well, I'm on the record as saying 2019 is the year of the new Mac Pro, and I still stand by that. :)
If I was a betting man, and I'm not a betting man, I'd say Apple will release it on Thursday, 12 December 2019. Purely a guess, so I don't wanna see me quoted in any news items, okay? LOL

Oh, right, so maybe still a chance to have one for XMAS?

Yes, but not in all configurations. Again, just a guess, but lower end configurations are likely to ship before Christmas, while you'll be waiting until the new year for some of the higher end configurations.

What about the pro display?

Well, I expect it to be available too, but there's two models coming, so who knows what Apple will do.

2 models?

Yes, one with standard glass and one with Nano-texture glass. Don't you just love Apple's marketing? LOL
And there's quite a price difference between them!

This is very exciting. I really want a new Mac Pro for XMAS. :-)

Well, please remember, this is only speculative on my behalf - that's why its okay to chat about this here, but your question wouldn't be on-topic on the main site.

Yes, I understand you are only guessing. :-) But this is very encouraging and if you are wrong, I can still buy a fully maxed out 16" MBP for $6,099 and that's only $100 more than the cheapest Mac Pro will be.
And I will have it for XMAS! :-) Best XMAS ever! :-)

LOL, well then, either way I think you'll be a very happy camper for Christmas Day!!! :)

@ankii Which other MB(P) model currently has inverted T arrow keys?
From what I can see they all have "big left", "half-sized up/down", "big right", in one row

@nohillside and that is not a T? You are alienating other fonts ;)

4:16 PM
No, that's definitively not a T. Compare it to the keyboard of the new MBP

5:14 PM
@nohillside Ah I am on MacBook Air and I have all the keys of the same size \o/
Unlike chunky left and right.

Would some kind soul @ me or edit this question to change build ABC to contain the actual build for Mojave?

Q: How can I isolate macOS 10.14.6 Mojave freezing 1-2 seconds every few minutes except for sound and the mouse?

RocketNutsSince a week or two I am experiencing a very strange problem on my MacBook Pro running macOS 10.14.6 Mojave. (Build ABC) No matter what I'm doing, typing something in a browser or text editor or other application, watching a video on youtube or in VLC, every few minutes the whole system become n...

I'm looking for the BuildVersion from the command line sw_vers or by clicking in About This Mac the version number string to expose the internal build number
BuildVersion: 19B88
Above is Catalina and not Mojave

@bmike Done.

Thanks @Monomeeth. We need something more modern and vague than this old thread.

Q: IMac freezing intermittently--every few minutes. How can I fix this?

UticensisA couple of days ago, I was browsing, and downloading something from Usenet, when my iMac all of a sudden froze up, grinding to an unbearable slowness. After trying to tolerate what was happening for 5 minutes, hoping it would pass, I finally gave up, and restarted the computer manually. To my ...
