@IanC. I rarely use Google's services, but gosh, that's going to annoy a lot of people. :( Hopefully a fix isn't far away!

this is a pretty serious break IMHO.
i vastly prefer Calendar.app on macOS/iOS to the Google native apps, but this has my iMac busted. :(

@IanC. Agreed. Just upvoted your question - I think it's going to get a LOT of views!

think I should answer it with a "don't install Safari 13.0 because it's broken" answer?

@IanC. Actually, yeah, not a bad idea. And then you can edit it later when there's a workaround/solution.

@IanC. how'd you figure out that safari updated? I dont remember the version I had 2 days ago

@ankii See this screenshot:
Also, the Safari 13 update is listed in the table on the Apple security updates page. Interestingly it says, "details available soon" even though it is already available.

@IanC. That's an interesting read. There's no doubt Apple has been making lots of changes, especially since macOS Sierra. Lots of things have been deprecated, etc. Will be very interesting to see where everything is at with the Mac in five years time, with a lot of convergence with iPadOS and as a result of the Kalamata Project. The transition will be hard, but as is often the case, the pain will have been worth it for most people. We certainly live in interesting times. :)

I feel that I bountied the question about Preview pane on a wrong time. Due to the updates, that might go unnoticed, OTOH, might get more eyeballs.
