@cocomac The timing of my own Meta post was impeccable :). Nevertheless it is very good to see this result.

👍😎
I guess we should discuss the handling of AI posts before we start moderating again - any ideas @andrew.46? 🤔
06:28
@ArturMeinild There will be a public policy release shortly. Mods have a preview copy and I am not sure how much of this is going into the public policy. In particular the agreed upon heuristics...
06:47
Hmm ok. I just want to make sure we know what to do. And in the spirit of transparency, I would like to see the heuristics at some point - at least for my own curiousity. 👍😁
I know it's a work in progress...
@ArturMeinild Well, the detail will be in the SE public policy which should be out soon enough. There is a working group on the heuristics which I believe is not only for elected Mods: Generative AI Moderation Heuristics Working Group
But I don't know a huge amount about this...
@ArturMeinild @vidarlo I have done some work with the MTU issue and hopefully kept Ask Ubuntu users safe while avoiding offence to posters
Hmmm... vidarlo does not come here?
07:08
@andrew.46 I noticed - thanks, hope that will do for now - at least now we're aware if the issue pops up again. 😎

I just started on the "Reopen votes" queue. When I try to vote "Leave closed" I get an error saying: "An error occurred when submitting your feedback. Please try again."
Anybody else got this? What could be the issue? I can vote to "Reopen" with no problem, but this doesn't make much sense..
Another question: How would you vote on this answer??
It's a very short answer (maybe it works - who knows), but for a question asked for Ubuntu 12.04.
09:44
@ArturMeinild my observation is that if the AI detection heuristics get published that will aid posters in circumventing detection.
@Levente Yeah you're probably right

This post needs an additional dupe target:

Q: How to get rid of message in apt: "An OpenSSL vulnerability has recently been fixed ..."

Taras IvashchukWhen I do "sudo apt upgrade" I always get in turn the message. It is really getting annoying. An OpenSSL vulnerability has recently been fixed with USN-6188-1 & 6119-1: CVE-2023-2650: possible DoS translating ASN.1 object identifiers. Ensure you have updated the package to its latest version. 0 ...

I think this should be a target as well: askubuntu.com/questions/1441035/what-is-meant-by-apt-news
(Because that solution worked for the asker)

4
So it seems. 😎 Welcome back - good to see you around. 🌞
:)
thanks!
I'm also starting - slowly - to resume some moderation actions..
I still have a long list of spammers and nonsense-posters, that I'll have to follow up on - later..
Waiting to see if Smokey comes back online - I hope so..
And also Natty

Could someone take a look at this answer? Should we suggest the OP does an edit...?

TIL if you get spam as an audit in the Low Quality queue, and Recommend Close as "migrate to per-site Meta", you still pass the audit... Hmm

Mod flags down to 70 now, hopefully knocked down to usual levels in a few days...
