Isn't this question EOL: askubuntu.com/q/1388091/1460940

@NotTheDr01ds You're welcome!
@NotTheDr01ds That's exactly how it works.
@NotTheDr01ds Improving the edit would be the best choice, but since you selected "Approve" you should wait until the edit gets accepted and then edit the post more if you want.

6:22 AM
I usually improve edits when I'm confident that an edit is good and should be approved to reduce the items waiting in the Suggested Edits queue, so that the queue doesn't fill up.

There's nothing left in review queues for me :(

@Zanna @Natty Can flag questions on Stack Overflow but not on other SE sites.

@Someone When we say "unclear" in this room, this refers to questions that need details or clarity, not to answers, which admittedly can also be unclear some times (I'm just clarifying the terminology used).

@BeastOfCaerbannog OK. So, the answer is NAA

6:27 AM
This particular answer is not so unclear and can be saved. The OP of the answer refers to the second image of the question. That's where they say to add this line.

/etc/default/grub

@Someone it's OK, not NAA. It just needs to be edited.
@Someone Yup
It would be great if you could edit it, as I'm not on my PC yet and cannot do it myself.

@BeastOfCaerbannog OK. I will do. May I add the information about grub file?

@Someone Sure

Can I format it in the form of steps?
Make it like a huge answer without changing its motive?

6:33 AM
@Someone Now that I read the question more carefully, the OP cannot boot, so they cannot change the grub file. They have to do it from the GRUB screen (by pressing "e" I think).
@Someone It's quite simple what needs to be done, so I don't think steps are needed.
@Someone Definitely no!
Remember: we should strive to preserve OP's intention. If you need to essentially replace what they say, just write another answer.
@Someone According to the current policy, yes.
@Someone No, it doesn't. Don't edit NAAs. Just downvote and flag them.

Done... Please review it @BeastOfCaerbannog
Rollback it, if you feel like I have done too much.
As the edit summary says, I have just done some minor improvements. @BeastOfCaerbannog

6:51 AM
@Someone Hmmm. That's what I told you. They can't even boot, so it's impossible for them to edit the file. They have to do it from the grub screen.

@BeastOfCaerbannog But the objective was to edit the answer without changing its meaning.

Yes. The line can be added directly from the grub screen.

@BeastOfCaerbannog I don't know, how one can do that? Just press "e"?

Basically yes. See in the above doc.
I thought you were familiar with it...

@BeastOfCaerbannog No, I am not...

6:57 AM
You just press "e" and add the text after quiet splash

Lemme check on my PC.

Ok
Sorry for putting you in this trouble. If you don't want to do it, I will edit it later.
If you don't do it, also please roll back the edit, so that the answer won't attract downvotes due to it.

OK! Got it.
I am re-editing it.
Can I add pictures too
@BeastOfCaerbannog DONE!
Please review it!
@BeastOfCaerbannog Actually, images are looking kinda weird... I have not included images for main thing but included for Grub menu...

7:18 AM
@Someone awesome edit! (I just fixed a thing)

Thanks
It feels good to confuse people @BeastOfCaerbannog

@Someone Why open a conversation there? Since you edited the answer and made it a proper one, just flag the comment and move on! :)

7:33 AM
@BeastOfCaerbannog It feels good to confuse :)

@Someone o.O
@Someone yes, Natty has rep there.

8:14 AM
Without any posts? @Zanna
@BeastOfCaerbannog Have you read the edit summary?

@Someone usually if one wants to run a bot that requires some minimal privileges, such as the ability to use chat (generally needed), one will suggest edits from the bot account. Making posts can look a bit socky or invite targeted voting

8:49 AM
@Someone Yeah, I wanted to comment about that but I forgot. I think that while your edit comment is clearly sarcastic, it isn't guaranteed that people reading it will take it such. So some might start editing and leaving seemingly irrelevant comments, which is a bad thing, because as I told you a while ago, an editor also sets an example for future edits.

9:08 AM
@Zanna Yes, Natty has 25 edit suggestions approved.
@BeastOfCaerbannog I'm sorry about that. Why will anyone start editing the post with irrelevant comments?

9:32 AM
Well, I don't think that would be a big problem actually. Most people don't leave very good edit comments and not many people actually read them. But it would be good if your comments were helpful.

11:32 AM
is this suggestion a misunderstanding of the question, or might it actually work?

@Zanna It might work
but it depends

12:23 PM
@Zanna I also commented on it yesterday, but probably the message got lost in the transcript:
yesterday, by BeastOfCaerbannog
I think that this is a Windows-only answer, but I'm not sure.
I'm not aware of Microsoft basic display driver being a thing on Ubuntu.

OK, now I see it differently than yesterday. The OP suggests to install another driver on the host machine.

1:04 PM
@BeastOfCaerbannog ugh sorry I didn't see that
@BeastOfCaerbannog yeah - I am clueless about VMs but it seems to me like it might be worth a try
certainly the post could be edited to make what it suggests more clear
was just hoping y'all might have more idea than me whether it's a reasonable answer
