@Zanna Thanks! How did you know the OP is on 20.04? They've only mentioned 20.xx

@mickmackusa nice edit on this question - the answer is really good imho, have fixed the formatting and upvoted it. Deserves more prominence.
@Someone I guess I'm just being hopeful there that nobody is using 20.10
the busybox package version is the 20.04 version, which is pretty solid evidence (as guiverc pointed out)

6:33 AM
@Zanna Ohk Thanks!
@Zanna the step formatting by you on the answer isn't looking too good. IMHO

do you think it would be better the scrap the numbering?
List formatting is pretty limited
I often scrap numbering altogether as it often doesn't make things any clearer

@Zanna Yes, step formatting isn't looking too good. It's a paragraph based answer. Steps are good for answer like this

6:49 AM
personally, I think the numbering is okay
as it's not complicated

@Zanna Yeah, it's OK, but I want @BeastOfCaerbannog to look at it. He is better than both of us (at least me) in formatting :)
Why does it show this little red dot, even when the queue is empty?
I am referring to the red dot near Low Quality Posts
🔴 Low quality posts

7:04 AM
there should not be a red dot if the queue is empty, but in general those red dots don't work properly so...

It's a bug?

for me, the queue shows 41 items needing review
@Someone yes, the red dot is a bug, but it is hahahaaha

@Zanna It shows 0 to me

that's probably because you've already reviewed or skipped all the items
you can check in an incognito/private browsing window to see how many are really there

7:45 AM
@Zanna incognito windows? Can anonymous user or new user or logged out users see review queues?
Oh, yes I can modify the URL to enter queues

8:23 AM
@Someone yes, just not review them
and they don't have a link to them in the UI, but, as you noted, the URL can be used
btw it's only relatively recently that the timeline button was added to post pages
but the timeline was still there - we used to use the URL to access it (as it's very useful for moderation stuff!) The timeline also got redesigned

OK @Zanna Yes, I used the URL.
How do I type ‘ ?

a curly apostrophe?

Yes

I don't know... you might be able to find the unicode number for it by searching
if you know the number, you can hold ctrl and shift and type U followed by the number

@Someone Zanna's formatting is great. I would use exactly the same numbered formatting on this post. In my opinion it's much better in this case, as the two options are clearly separated. Otherwise it would look like a wall of text.

8:32 AM
for example to type a diamond ♦ I hold ctrl and shift and type u2666

@Zanna Unicode? Then I don't want to use it.

yeah... it is not a comfortable way to type special characters. Unfortunately I don't know a better way
@BeastOfCaerbannog :)

@BeastOfCaerbannog Yes Zanna's formatting is great! But if we see the content, then steps aren't necessary. They are two different methods. Again, it was just a suggestion.
@Zanna ‘ will do the work

that looks like a normal apostrophe/quote, rather than a fancy one

`

8:38 AM
@Someone Yeah, it could be formatted differently, as you suggest. However, keep in mind that we try to preserve OP's intention whenever possible, be it formatting or content. So, since the numbered (ordered) list formatting is a good option here and also is the formatting that the OP chose, it makes sense to keep it.

@BeastOfCaerbannog OK

@Someone Not strange at all! Flimm probably wants to reward this answer, which is actually the only answer that works with recent Ubuntu versions. In my opinion it is a really good answer and deserves more upvotes.

@BeastOfCaerbannog +1... so many questions need updates like this

@BeastOfCaerbannog They've picked the wrong notice, maybe?

9:06 AM
@Zanna Yeah
@Someone It's possible.

@Zanna If I undelete any of my older post on META, will all the mods get a disturbing ping? Will it be on top?

Needs details or clarity IP address problem in Ubuntu 20.04 WSL Windows 10 -- The title mentions there's an "IP address problem", but the question doesn't mention what problem the user is actually having. Gave it two days to see if we could get some more information from the OP, but no updates.

I do miss the ability to see exactly when a user last logged in. I used to try to wait until a user checked back in until I flagged or VTC'd. I still try to give it a few days, but as you said, that's difficult to coordinate as well.

4:18 PM
yeah, feel free to ask - the info is extremely useful

Sure thing - Thanks!
