Q: Is it time to recalibrate the pending suggested edit limit?

mickmackusaI've recently decided to start rep farming trying to earn the archaeologist badge cleaning up posts in Ask Ubuntu where I am a low-repper. Because each of my suggested edits require multi-user approval and final approval takes too long, I can only submit one or two edits per day. I am not a "prob...

@Zanna I came across this question in the Reopen votes queue. The duplicate target is deleted. What happened there?

that's weird... there are certainly some restrictions on deleting dupe targets
anyway, what happened was that the target was by the same person and deleted by roomba as it had no answers and a negative score

OK. So the question should be reopened.

OP's main problem is unclear I think
I don't think the question is answerable
see the comments on the answer
they actually posted 3 questions about it
changes to that file shouldn't be persistent
there is something else going on
but no information about what

Yeah. Reopening and closing it as unclear then?

10:42 AM
I am just going to delete the question

Or deleting
:P

see I'm helping with review

Hahahaahah

if there aren't any posts, the queues are clear 😊
OP not seen for more than a year
no way to figure out what was going on without their input
whatever happened, it's no repro

@Zanna OK. Thanks for looking into it!

10:50 AM
hahaha <3

I agree with mickmackusa's suggestion, but as Glorfindel said, the lack of reviewers would throttle any change. It is an interesting suggestion though that should be reconsidered in the future if the interest in reviewing gets increased.
@RandomPerson I think that this could also be shared in AUGR.

I'd probably use all 40 suggested edit reviews if I had that many suggested edit reviews instead of 20.

@karel Yeah, but since at least two votes are required for approval, this wouldn't make such a big difference, unless you (anyone) improve posts instead of approving.

I get so many audits when I review Suggested Edits
the thing is that the audits in Suggested Edits are just a joke
It would be good if all the audits were that easy
I am not keen on this suggestion
the suggester has a point, but the wording is less clear, and the formatting is worse

@Zanna Really? I don't get many audits there.

in the last 20 reviews i got 2
idk why. i think my stats are similar to yours

11:28 AM
Hmmm. I don't think so. You have about 6000 reviews, while I have about 2000. If the number of edits was inversely related to the number of reviews, I should be getting more than you. I'll keep note of the audits I come across in the next days.
@Zanna I rejected and improved (I think) the edit.

I don't think the frequency of audits being served to a reviewer is related to their total number of reviews, but I think it is related to 1) how quickly they review (the faster you review, the more audits, I suspect) and 2) how different their decisions are from those of other reviewers (the more unconventional your review decisions are, the more audits you get)
I mean these stats:
BeastOfCaerbannog has approved 785 edit suggestions and rejected 597 edit suggestions and improved 833 edit suggestions
Zanna has approved 2359 edit suggestions and rejected 1585 edit suggestions and improved 2653 edit suggestions
similar proportions there

11:44 AM
Oh, OK. I see.

@BeastOfCaerbannog yeah, that's a bit better haha
thanks!
