I need some help with an Audit in the review queue. I was given this question (askubuntu.com/review/first-questions/1179583), which is an audit, as the actual question is gone (askubuntu.com/questions/1369239/…)... I would have voted to close as off-topic, as none of the three OS's they mentioned are on-topic here (Linux Mint, Zorin OS, and Windows 10)... but the option is grayed-out as I had flagged the original
question before
So... what should I do? I don't want to fail the audit, but the flag I want is greyed-out

@cocomac I'm not sure what all actions will reliably pass the audit in the new interface. Probably downvoting should do the job. Flagging for mod attention should also work. You can definitely just skip the audit if you don't know what to do. Skipping anything is always an approved action :) Audits are only to check whether you're actually reading the stuff you're reviewing at all. If you've identified that it's an audit, you've already passed in principle, so try not to worry about it at all

@Zanna Yeah I ended up skipping the audit, but I felt the right action would have been VTC as off-topic. I just wanted to ask as while I feel that I've been reviewing fine, I also didn't want to get penalized for failing an audit. But thanks for clarifying!

:) most welcome!
I agree with you that voting to close would be the ideal action
it's satisfying when you get to an audit and see that you've already taken the best action on the actual post, as happened to you here haha
the system characterises certain actions as "negative". If you take a "negative" action on an audit where the system considers the post bad, you will pass.
audits aren't carefully designed by humans - they're generated automatically. The system isn't very smart. Often audits are really silly. They cause a lot of frustration

@BeastOfCaerbannog what is "breeze"? Is it an OS?

@Zanna It seems so. breezeos.com

I guess it's no repro then

@Zanna Hmmm. I now thought that it could mean the Breeze Plasma theme/window decorations. I commented. If it's not about Breeze OS, I will retract my close vote.
