@RandomPerson haha what should I do? Do you think the question should be reopened?
I think the question is very unclear "I tried the fix on YouTube"
there are multiple videos on YouTube
I am not interested in talking to that angry person. I would rather use my time and energy helping people who are willing to provide the information needed and be more or less civil

@Zanna If the OP provides relevant information and if the question is not a duplicate, it must be reopened.
@Zanna yeah.. I have asked the OP for more info. and the OP shared link of the YouTube video.
@Zanna OK. I understand.
If I am not wrong, mods can see deleted comments. The OP posted a comment containing abusive words. I flagged it and it was deleted. I guess you must have seen that comment.

Q: How is the linked question off-topic?

Jon SkeetI just watched this question get deleted as off-topic. The question involves reinstalling / recovering accidentally deleted packages in Ubuntu. Granted, it is an older version (16.04), but I was under the impression that all Ubuntu versions were within the scope of Ask Ubuntu. Am I wrong about th...

I found a site which is copying our community's Q&As and not attributing :(
I contacted SE staff today. Hopefully they will reply soon.
The site is: ubuntu.forumming.com
The T&Cs of that site is absolutely horrible:

12:56 PM
Yeah. I think some other user has also reported it a while ago.
There is also this one that does the same: itectec.com

@BeastOfCaerbannog who is the user?

I don't remember.

hmm. fine.
Please check if your Qs or As have been posted in that site.. I think you can file a complaint at Google for copyright stuff..

No, it wasn't the one you said. It was itectec.com: meta.askubuntu.com/questions/19561/…

@RandomPerson Indeed one my questions is mirrored. I suppose some answers must be also mirrored.

Please share the link..

@BeastOfCaerbannog The profile doesn't contain only your posts..
It's a random mixture of questions of different users from AU I guess..

1:10 PM
Yeah, I tried to make a joke. I failed.

@BeastOfCaerbannog nope.. you didn't fail. The joke was good.. haha

@RandomPerson Hahaha! Yeah, right.
Will you report the site to SE?
Does it have any of your posts?

I contacted SE staff today. Hopefully they will reply soon.

@BeastOfCaerbannog no idea.. I tried searching a few.. but I'm a bit lazy.. I wish there was some bot which can find my posts..
The website not only copied AU's content, but also from some other SE sites..
@Zanna Is any of your content posted in that website?

1:15 PM
I hope they bring it down.

@RandomPerson no idea

@BeastOfCaerbannog yeah..
@Zanna OK..

I haven't seen it before
@RandomPerson looks like they got bored after writing half of it haha
@RandomPerson ok

what is th I wonder... is it an acronym perhaps?

1:19 PM
@Zanna Cool!
@Zanna I don't think so..

OMG.. they just tried to copy from CC by SA 4.0.. lol.

@Zanna Hey, it's tinfoil Tuesday!
@RandomPerson Licenception

it's a good license
@BeastOfCaerbannog hahaha

what's the meaning of licenception?

It's are reference to the Inception movie, where the protagonist is in a dream within a dream within a dream.

1:30 PM
yeah.. heard of it. Christopher Nolan directed film right?

Yes. Amazing movie.

I didn't see Inception. I watched Tenet.

I haven't watched that yet, but I hear it's great

John David Washington is awesome! <3

Cool. I'll let you know of my impression when I watch Tenet.

1:37 PM
OK.

(^^^ I'm not sure that the syntax/grammar above is correct)

I think "of" is not required and instead of "when", the word "after" would be more appropriate.

@BeastOfCaerbannog seems fine to me

@RandomPerson But I am not 100% sure as I'm not a native speaker

@RandomPerson I wasn't sure about "of". Yeah, "after" could be better.
@Zanna Great! Thanks!

1:47 PM
:) I agree that "of" is optional there. Not wrong or bad though

AEM
Hi everyone , i just have some questions.
If i want to write link in the comment section , what is the best way to do that ?
I mean something like that Google
Mention the meaning of the link or subject without using url itself

@AEM The syntax is [Google](https://www.google.com/)

@RandomPerson Thanks. This is more relevant than mine.

@BeastOfCaerbannog :)

AEM

@AEM most welcome :)

It seems that people get triggered if the OP mentions the word "bug". This question has 3 close votes for being a bug report, whereas it's probably an issue with extensions, as it seems from the comments.

yeah :/

Can someone explain me the meaning of Extended Security Maintenance?

2 hours later…
7:59 PM
@RandomPerson Yes. Here is EOL and here is ESM.
In short, EOL means that a release stops receiving any kind of updates, while ESM means that a release receives only security updates or updates for critical packages.
