not OT "EOL" because of when the question was posted - even if it is closed for another reason, the close flag to close it as OT "EOL" should be declined
@user3140225 This one has also received an incorrect close vote. (I know you've already reviewed it; I'm replying to your message since it's very relevant.) Both are still in the queue.
not unclear, answered in a comment
Shouldn't this question just be answered with information from the linked Ubuntu Forums thread?

@Zanna That answer is incorrect. I checked all the WPS snap packages in the Software app and none of them have a Permissions button. The notepad-plus-plus snap package does have a clickable Permissions button, but WPS Office does not have one.

dupe or OT - bug
unclear, OP didn't respond to the comments asking for clarification by mchid and me. Probably the problem is with the bash script itself. May very well be a user-side problem, it seems the OP is not very used to .desktop launchers.
@Zanna The answer is probably somewhat useful, the new Ubuntu Software application (snap-store) allows the user to change various permissions for an installed snap application as described here.

@user3140225 you don't visit the general room, do you?

attempt to reply - Maybe it would be good to reject it with a custom message explicitly suggesting to post an answer.
Should this answer be expanded with more information from the comments?
no repro (maybe OT bug), see answer
seems not off-topic (maybe opinion-based, though probably not that either)
not really unclear, see the OP's self-answer

@EliahKagan I used emsp and nbsp to "prettify" and replicate the message in text form.
I have already rolled back the edit which added code formatting.

@EliahKagan Agreed, but it seems to me the OP is referring to Timeshift, which is also available on Ubuntu 20.04. Not sure why they said "tried to look for a similar possibility in Ubuntu but I didn't find any". Anyway, I posted an answer with the installation instruction.

There is a non-productive exchange going on below this question. Could any of the mods please remove the comments or move them to a chat (except one short comment I left for the OP to add clarifications, second one of the currently visible comments)? (cc @jokerdino @Zanna)
^^ in a related note, the question seems horribly unclear as of now (as right-clicking works differently in different parts of GNOME and the context-menu, whenever it appears, is different depending on which element the right-click is performed), but I would like to wait for some time for the OP to come up with more details.

@Zanna 1 downvote (which I believe is because of spam flag) makes sense.
And I just failed an audit. I voted to reopen considering the translation :|

@Kulfy Wow! That was a really tricky one!

I suspect that set of questions created a meta post.
I guessed wrong.

I wish mods could audit the audits before they become an audit for reviewers. Or at least nullify the review.

@Natty tp The version Natty saw (and that is stored in Sentinel) was NAA. The author since edited it to be an answer, though, so it should not be flagged or deleted.

@Natty fp Though it would be good for the question part to be posted separately as a question.
@Natty tp
@Kulfy Yes. I don't think that's really necessary. It's fine though. I'm not recommending editing it again. With or without the formatting made to look as it does in the dialog box, having it as as blockquote is better than having it as a code block.
@Natty fp Not reportable to Natty. This challenged the frame of the question (urging the OP to use something instead of GNOME Shell) and it was a wrong answer (following the given instructions would not achieve that in the slightest).
I think it's fine that it was deleted, though odd that it only got one downvote and I am alarmed that delete votes are cast more readily than downvotes. In any case, this is not a true positive as far as Natty is concerned (nor was the post actually NAA under the standards of any SE site including our own).

@Natty fp
@EliahKagan To be clear, frame challenging answers are fine here, it's the total wrongness that's the issue there. Also, frame challenging answers are not considered okay on all SE sites, but on sites that don't consider them okay, an answer to a question asking how to make something faster that urges to use a faster thing instead would likely not be considered a frame-challenging answer. I should probably not have used that phrase to describe that answer.
