I think this question is a dupe of this one

@karel Upgrading from EOL releases is on-topic.
That has four close votes as off-topic, so it is an example of why lowering the thereshold for closure to three would probably not work out well.
I guess one might argue that the question is ambiguous because maybe the OP doesn't want to upgrade to a newer release, but (a) we close questions about unsupported releases as off-topic supposedly to encourage people to upgrade, (b) if they do the thing we ask them to do then they will have the same question since they have to solve this before upgrading to a newer release, and (c) the closure such ambiguity would support should be "unclear what you are asking."
I guess my comment doesn't express that. I've deleted my comment. Maybe I'll replace it.

4:45 AM
seems no repro, see comments
Hmm, what would be the reason to close this question? I don't think that question should prompt any concerns, but to the extent to which it does, I'd think this quite strong consensus would apply.

5:59 AM
@EliahKagan My main argument for not lowering the vote threshold from 5 to 3 like Stack Overflow did is based on two things. 1. Stack Overflow has many more users than Ask Ubuntu in general and many more gold badge tag users than Ask Ubuntu in particular. Most dupes at Stack Overflow are closed by gold badge tag users. 2. Stack Overflow also has many more 100k+ reputation moderators than Ask Ubuntu. Reviewers are moderated hard by moderators, to reduce the #of incorrect question closures.

Seems like closure stats table is sorted according to some criteria.
For example, this is what Zanna posted
And this is how I see them in 10k tools

@Kulfy I took that screenshot a few days ago
if I look right now I get the same as you
but it's unclear why the order changes!

7:51 AM
@Kulfy indeed

8:08 AM
@Zanna Probably worth searching/asking on MSE.

do you see the close reason history at the top? looks a mess hahaha

They are more than what I actually see while voting and are duplicates. One of the reason got retired even without getting approved.

8:26 AM
yeah

8:41 AM
diamond downvotes don't analogously count for 5 downvotes.

9:06 AM
@Kulfy thankfully

Does it look like an answer? I wonder why it got an upvote.

@Kulfy oh. The person who reviewed it in Late Answers is upvoting everything
I should probably suspend them from review for that

+1

they are already suspended from review (automatically)

9:20 AM
@Kulfy yeah you can only fail audits in Suggested Edits if you aren't actually reading
in other queues the audits can be off
sometimes I have failed an audit and then gone to the post to do the action I attempted because I remained convinced it was the correct one haha
what I should really do then, is go and re-check all their recent reviews
that's really the most exhausting of all the things I try to do on the site

Not to mention I was suspended from reviews for about 4 months 2 years ago :|

those 2 years went damn quick!
@Kulfy why was it closed as off topic?

@Zanna I'm already doing that :)

@Kulfy thank you very very much!
it seems not even remotely off topic

@Zanna I don't know. Maybe because accessing ext4 in Windows isn't about Ubuntu. I remember some of the highly rated questions about reading ext4 in Windows are closed as OT. I tried to reopen them by pushing into review queue but they were left closed.
@Zanna And I have learnt lessons :)

9:28 AM
the question is written quite unclearly, I think
but the answer seems to confirm that it's about Ubuntu

They were wondering if they can write data to ext4 from Windows. They tried some software which corrupted the partition. On my suggestion, they copied the file using LiveUSB and fscked the partition.

I can't see how to edit it properly :/
@Kulfy tbh I was looking for a way to poke you about your FP stats, because I think that No Action Needed should rarely be used. But maybe I am a bit opinionated when it comes to FP review hahaha

@Zanna Feel free to talk about that.

Well I should really look at the individual reviews - I haven't seen anything specific that I disagreed with or anything like that. And you passed all your audits. I've just been looking at the stats lately because some users (not you) are definitely reviewing badly, and I noticed that you have a high No Action Needed percentage and a low time-spent-per-item. So I wanted to ask you about your process at some point
I realise that there is a difference between how I would like FP review to be done and how I can reasonably expect FP review to be done
considering that other people will have different reasonable ideas about how it should be done

10:08 AM
oh no - I should try to think of a better way to do that
this question does not seem too broad

10:27 AM

10:38 AM
@karel you may want to add something to the discussion on meta
@EliahKagan can we collect these? I feel that there is no good alternative to manually collecting data about it. All of the statistics that have been brought up in connection to the possibility so far seem to me insufficient

@Zanna I usually leave FP queue for new reviewers. But these days no. of items in FP queue are way more than CV queue. So, I visit that queue occasionally. My main focus are on CV queue, Reopen queue and suggested edits queue.
Maybe I read too fast and that's the reason I spend less time per item.
Just out of curiosity, mods see the average time or the time per post?

btw to follow up on my unsatisfying reply here - the post was the one I had remembered looking at, and the reason I bothered to paste it after finding it wasn't just to show that is was useless, but rather because it has a definition for wrongly closed. However, that definition is not broadly useful. I would like to gather data, but we need definitions for "wrong" close votes, for example, the question received...
... at least 3 close votes, but was removed from the queue by leave open votes
it could be that leave open votes were wrong also
I tend to feel that leave open votes are more likely to be correct
but I can't substantiate that...
@EliahKagan ^
hmm maybe I should not be pinging you about that! oops
I will assume you are interested in that topic. However please don't feel obliged to respond!

@Kulfy haha now I switched to FP & LA because they require only 1 review so it doesn't feel like I'm throwing my weight around :)
@Kulfy only average
also I think FP and LA are the hardest queues to review
from around the I started transitioning to mainly doing moderation, as opposed to mainly doing answering, until quite recently, I found it extremely hard to review FP & LA
but I have started to find it easier (although still hard). I mean I feel that in general I know what to do
perhaps that is an illusion
but I hope it is the effect of experience
perhaps you also review quickly because you have a lot of practice :)

@Kulfy seems like a new answer though - like, the other answers do not have that.

@Zanna I posted it as an answer to Ask Ubuntu Meta.

@karel thanks!

@Zanna Yes they are hard sometimes.
The other answer talked about vim-gtk. And here it's vim-gtk3.

11:17 AM
yes... but I would not say that this answer does not add anything. Should it be a comment on that other answer?
this post does not really seem like a link only answer to me; I mean the suggestion to use that thing seems to be an answer, although expansion would obviously be good... is there another problem with it?

@Zanna Doesn't sound fair.
@Zanna Doesn't seem like a standalone answer.

ok. I'm not sure :)

@Zanna Is there a way to search a chat room for messages with hyperlinked text starting with "not"?
@Zanna Thanks, the ping is useful since it helps me find the messages both now and later. I'm not sure I have any thoughts about the topic at the moment though.
@karel Thanks, I think that is a good answer.
@Natty tp
@Zanna A possible way forward for it may be to expand the answer with details from the linked page and undelete it or flag it to request undeletion. Should that be done?
@Natty tp

3:27 PM
@EliahKagan I don't know any fancy search techniques for chat at all

Well, we can probably search for different phrases separately, e.g., "not off-topic", "not OT," "not no repro," "not too broad," "not unclear," "not opinion based," "not POB," and so forth.

@EliahKagan I have not looked at the linked page yet and have just been given a lot of unexpected housework so I may not be able to do that, but it seems like a useful solution
*do that today
@EliahKagan yes. Unfortunately I tend to write something other than that, not having anticipated this situation, but fortunately I do far less work here than everyone else so that probably doesn't matter much :)

"I do far less work here than everyone else" That does not seem accurate...
What kinds of things do you tend to type? Perhaps those can be searched for as well.

"I don't think this question is ..." "this question does not seem ..." "is this question really ..." "why is this ..."

@Zanna You might want to give your own naa feedback, since it has conflicting feedback on metasmoke. Of course you're not obligated to do so, and currently it's two naa vs one tp so the situation is not too bad.

@EliahKagan thanks, done... I tried to do that earlier but couldn
't do it on mobile for some reason (probably my fault)
I forgot to check again

@Natty tp Also I don't see how this question is remotely on-topic, since it's entirely about Python syntax.

I've commented and voted to close.

@Natty tp I believe this is not an answer, as written. But is it intended as one? Should it be edited and undeleted? (I do not advocate undeleting it without editing it.)

unclear, OP made some superficial edits after I posted a comment, but it still looks quite unclear to me.
OT, sound like a hardware issue from the edit by OP
Is there any canonical target for this question? Apparently apt-get clean fixed the problem.

Seems dupe, but maybe it would be better to consider it a related but separate question and for it to get an answer explaining the specific error message from systemctl.
