Do you think it's wrong or just bad?

I thought it would be okay based on, "I see it is a deb package! have never installed deb package." (My close vote was not to make it a duplicate.)

It is at least bad, in hindsight, since while the OP may have been looking for information about installing .deb files, people who find it by searching will likely think they should use the information at the linked questions to install Protonmail, and it is not clear that this would be reasonable.

But I am thinking it is acceptable to leave it as it is.

(unrelated) Does SE guarantee keep HTML for all revisions of a post, or just the current revision?

I'm wondering what will happen once

is implemented, when one reviews looks at old revisions of posts that use features of SE's dialect of Markdown that are incompatible with CommonMark.

My recollection is that only the most recent version's HTML is available through SEDE.

It is not clear that they were asking how to install .deb files or that the generic information in the dupe questions would help with the specific app. This is the kind of dupe closure I personally really hate.

I think the intention is that nothing will break.

That is, the migration will include automatic edits, presumably by (or shown as being done by) the Community bot, on each CommonMark-incompatible post, translating all constructs that CommonMark doesn't support into CommonMark constructs that produce the same rendered HTML.

At least that is how I understand it.

So, for example, if I understand correctly, Markdown like

<!-- language: lang-bash -->

    printf 'Hello, world!\n'

will be changed automatically, in an edit that is non-bumping but that does appear in the post's revision history (kind of like the HTTPS edits a while back), to:

```bash
printf 'Hello, world!\n'
```
