@pomsky Yeah, I had to read it twice myself. If it were still open, I'd add the Ubuntu version information to the body above the description of the behavior the OP got in Ubuntu. As it stands, I don't want to do that -- at least not yet -- because it may turn out that the OP changes their mind about the dupe target fully answering their question, and if so, I'd like their edit to put it in the reopen queue.

(This is just my preference; to my knowledge, we have no consensus for or against the sort of edit I am presently avoiding.)

@EliahKagan I observed many other fonts are now blue instead of regular orange. For example the ones in "Hot meta posts".

@Kulfy I think the considerations that apply to unexpectedly empty ls output also apply to the broader encompassing case of ls output that shows some entries but not those that are expected. It may be that -a should be passed, and it may be that the OP is mistakenly in the wrong directory; both are covered in the answer there. The other target asks what . and .. mean, which I think is even more different from from the OP is asking, though obviously is also relevant to it.

(I'm not advocating undeleting it unless there's strong reason to think the OP deleted it based on incorrect information, especially considering the self-vandalism. But I am wondering what happened...)

I think all but the first two comments on this question are no longer needed. As for whether or not the question is on-topic. I'm not sure. Starting with a KDE Neon system and getting to Ubuntu doesn't seem fundamentally different from starting with any other system and getting to Ubuntu.

@EliahKagan On the other hand, the question is asking specifically about a procedure that would be done in KDE Neon to transform that system into Ubuntu, and the OP appears to intend that the question be interpreted in such a way as to exclude answers about any other approach.
