I think this answer is spam and I'm annoyed about the No Action Needed review it got

I can't decide if I should flag that as spam or NAA.

Because of the effects of red flags on the poster's account (moving it quickly toward an answer ban), I suspect moderators might be reluctant to delete the post as spam. But it's definitely just recommending Windows software that would not work on Ubuntu. I've voted to delete the post.

As for the review, yeah, even if the reviewer didn't flag the post they could have voted on it or commented about how it's a Windows program. (I've commented.)

Most of the people who regularly review Late Answers almost always click No Action Needed (to my huge frustration) but I very rarely click that, so my review is probably different to the preceding review. But I can't be sure that it has always been different when it shows up, or always been the same when it does not

I think the First Posts and Late Answers queues should require more than one review to be complete (i.e., to be removed from the queue), or at least should require more than a single No Action Needed review.

in the Close Votes queue, there is an action that removes an item from the queue unilaterally, but that action is editing, which is extremely unlikely to be done out of inattention, and which credits the editor on the page (and lets them be pinged in comments on the post).

@EliahKagan Letting Edit remove an item from the Close Votes queue strikes me as a good design choice. In contrast, in the First Posts and Late Answers queues, the fastest action that is likely to be done with the least attention is sufficient to unilaterally remove a post from the queue. I don't think that's the best way it could work.

@EliahKagan indeed. Multiple times I have had to awkwardly raise a custom flag on a post that has been reviewed by someone to draw attention to a string of poor reviews by that reviewer

because there is no other way to do anything about it

although it is unlikely that people will edit a post out of inattention, I wish that the review page warned the reviewer that editing would remove the post from the queue unilaterally, to prevent them kicking it out by making a few minor corrections leaving the post no less a duplicate or unclear or off-topic...

I think that, the more overt the reminder that an Edit review knocks a question from the queue, the more tempted reviewers will find it to Edit for the purpose of making what is effectively a Leave Open review more powerful. On the other hand, sometimes that's right. When it is completely clear that all the close reasons are wrong, I think it's reasonable to use Edit (so long as there actually is some edit that ought to be done).

Of course most Edit reviews should be to edit in such a way that would make the post less reasonable to close or that would make it easier to recognize that the post should not be closed.

@Zanna I wonder what design changes have been proposed about the First Posts and Late Answers review queues on MSE. I recall that No Action Needed exists primarily to be a less harmful option than performing some ill-considered action in order to complete the review. And I do think sometimes no action is needed or appropriate; in such cases, reviewers who read the post and determine that should get credit for the review.

But at least if the number of reviews by non-moderators to clear a post from the queue is to remain small (much less 1!), I wish there were a way to perform actions, keep the item in the queue, but get credit for the review. Often I can improve the situation in some way but there are clear problems that I either can't address or don't feel like addressing at the time. So I edit (or comment, vote, flag, whatever) and then click Skip.

I don't feel bad about not being listed as a reviewer for the post, but it feels strange that this doesn't credit me as a reviewer but just clicking No Action Needed on a post does credit me.

The real solution should probably be to just increase the number of reviews needed for items in those queues, though.

That answer is copied from the much older answer, including the typo in the cd command, so I don't think it's worth translating. It does have 8822bu instead of rtl8822bu in the last command, but I suspect this is a mistake rather than an intentional difference.

This question seems more too broad than off-topic.

I don't think this question is a duplicate of the proposed target, since it's asking for a GUI (or how to make one). The OP presumably knows, or mostly knows, or is in any case not asking for, what hdparm commands to run to erase the disk.
