I suppose the addition is no worse than the others
serious spam-magnet question...

8:59 AM
does this question seem answerable at this point? Or should it be considered unanswerably abandoned and closed as no-repro?

@Zanna Good morning! I'd say the latter, VTC.

9:22 AM
@dessert thanks!

good morning

9:46 AM
morning

:)
Just saw, the question I answered before bed time made it into HNQ

10:20 AM
oh this is bad :( two wrong comments and author deleted instead of elaborating. I was just writing a comment and it disappeared

and this was not even NAA
:(
somehow i have the feeling that some people either not know what is NAA or not OR they simply being to quick with judgement and not even read the posts

In this case, why not just re-add it as an answer, possible a community wiki one?

well we could also undelete it, but then we need someone who nukes the comments
otherwise it will be send back to VLQ in no time

I am more worried about the author getting the wrong impression
The answer lacks detail imho
I couldn't tell what I should do from their instruction

mhmm well i have to jump anyhow right now, having a RL appointment

10:28 AM
but they were nonsensically told they should ask their own question (and that comment got an upvote) and wrongly told they should post half answers and dumb advice as comments
@Videonauth all the best
@dessert do you know what they meant by swap the displays around?

@Zanna I don't have the rep to see the content of deleted posts, so I'm looking at answer not found here…

oh! sorry
it was arguably NAA imho
well, a low quality answer

I'd say that is an answer – not sure how good it is, but it addresses the question and provides a solution. “swapping the display arrangement around” is swapping screen 1 and 2 and swapping it back IMO.

yeah... if they added how to do it, it would be upvoteable
maybe I will custom-flag this post :S
actually it even says "in display settings". I guess that's enough of an instruction, and I'm prepared to take their word for it that it was "the same problem" as it doesn't seem to be a hardware-specific problem
I flagged it

Q: "disable touchpad while typing" doesn't work in Ubuntu 14.04

Gabriel StaplesEven if I go to "System Settings" --> "Mouse & Touchpad" and check the "Disable while typing" box under the Touchpad settings, it still doesn't work. I have the feature selected in System Settings → Mouse & Touchpad → “Disable while typing,” but it's not working! I hate that it's not working beca...

it's a duplicate, as per OP

@pomsky thanks!

11:25 AM
well, back now, had to go to the local charity
guess he spoke of that, as you can see i have there three screens which i can arrange how I like

dang now i feel sorry for that guy :( askubuntu.com/review/suggested-edits/786016
i think my edit is more substantial
now i feel satisfied with the quality of my answer :)
@Zanna I would love to ask you if you proofread it

1:01 PM
it looks fine... were you editing it at the same time as the edit was suggested?

yes sadly
i pressed submit and thus autorejected his edit :/
but i spent about an hour on this edit to my answer :)
felt the whole night long very unsatisfied due to the sloppness i gave that answer short before going to bed. needed a major edit today :)
especially with this question title
that is one who will tend to head very top on search results
I was so knowing that and not even tried to answer :D
@Zanna
+1
pa4080 just wrote a very nice answer too

1:18 PM
@Videonauth it was a pretty minor edit, although it was correct. These things happen
@Videonauth :) thanks
