It's proivded by the acpid package. I think that's just not usually installed anymore. Your system doesn't have it, does it?

Yeah, I have one that like that but a bit different on my 14.04 system, which does have acpid installed.

btw. instead of shutdown -h now you can simply type shutdown now

@Zanna There was never a reason to close this question (though I don't blame the cloe voters because it had originally talked about being on an EoL release... though it was always pretty obvious that the problem could not be specific to it). Can we reopen it? I think that question is quite valuable.

OT Debian (see comments). I'll try and comment later if nobody else does--this is probably a good case for migration--but I am hoping to get it closed with that correct sub-reason soon so that the totally wrong "no repro" sub-reason doesn't get used.
