You know I actually answered a question tonight, edited the original question, fixed the tags. My Ask Ubuntu life was much easier when this was all I did here :)
@andrew.46 I think it did, and while I think that the question is mildly unclear, it doesn't look as 4 downvotes unclear. I mean, okay, the OP didn't provide the watch command they actually used, but it's pretty clear that they used watch in front of the command they provided, which they had quoted somehow (that's the unclear part), but the exact quoting they used is not really needed for the question to be answerable, as also proved by the answer.
@andrew.46 I believe you would miss being a mod then... And we would also miss you, as you are an excellent mod. It just that you are doing mod overwork right now. The site needs more active mods...
@andrew.46 I was thinking the same thing but wasn't sure how to include that in my edit without changing the command in the OP's question. @BeastOfCaerbannog found a slick way around that! I retracted my CV, deleted my comment and upvoted the question.
@BeastOfCaerbannog I gave it a -1 because of the language, which I think is probably why others did too. But it's since been edited, and I've retracted my downvote.
@mpboden That's understandable. However, in such cases where a post might contain profanity but that's not directly used as an insult towards someone, it should be preferable to edit the post and remove the profanity, as @stumblebee did, than just downvoting it.
Or if you (anyone) downvote a post for containing insults, do also add a comment saying that this is the reason for the downvote.
This way the OP will know that this is unacceptable behavior, so they would avoid it in the future, and also other users will also immediately know what's wrong with a post and the reason that it got downvoted was fixed so that the post won't accumulate more undeserved downvotes.
@BeastOfCaerbannog I went on a pilgrimage a while back to edit out the f-bomb from AU and I remember I was defeated by an application that is actually named after this word: github.com/nvbn/thefuck
