@Levente You've done it again? You've taken a post that Jorge made about making the data public, and duplicated it into a much longer post which aims to get the same goals, but uses lots more words to get there. Why?

@popey I don't agree with this interpretation. Jorge's question is aimed at a specific technicality, and he does not even suggest any specific measure or action beyond investigating.

His aim was to raise awareness and get people to think about solutions.

I however took a broad look, and named the largest, most challenging, most resource-intensive task to be carried out.
Yes, and I did think about a solution, and named it: migration.
Our concerns are a bit like venn-diagrams. Naturally, one can observe overlaps, due to the related inspirations of our posts. But the scope and outcome of my post is unique enough to stand alone from Jorge's.
Investigating is one thing, and preparing a succesful migration is another one, on a vastly different scale.
Also, Jorge is concerned about the data, a database, remaining accessible, as I understand.
My post is also concerned (in Update 2) about the content of that database. A threat to the quality, which already needs urgent action.

Though I admit, those erratic jumps in concerns in the updates might make the post difficult to read...
